I was 6 years old the first time a grown man (yes an adult, with children of his own) humiliated me in public just because I was a girl. It happened again at 10, and again at 12, and every year after. I have been torn down MANY times in my life and have learned how to come back stronger. I know I am loved, I am worthy, I have empathy, and I am capable. My hope is that this page helps inspire self-love and confidence in other women š The world is not kind to women, especially when we arenāt āfeminineā enough or fit perfectly into a categoryā¦. I have always loved playing ice hockey and I also love being girly, so I know how it feels. Sometimes I miss having the confidence of walking into the rink in stilettos, and seeing the look on the faces of adults who were angry at a me for daring to take up space. By stepping into the world of beauty, I have gained some of that confidence back and want to help make other women more confident too. I am an advocate for womenās rights because the women before me fought so I could be out on that ice and share what I love on my platform. Thereās still a long way to go, but Iāll always try be the voice I needed when I was a child. If youāre looking for a page that makes you feel like you can be yourself, I hope this is it.
