I was 6 years old the first time a grown man (yes an adult, with children of his own) humiliated me in public just because I was a girl. It happened again at 10, and again at 12, and every year after. I have been torn down MANY times in my life and have learned how to come back stronger. I know I am loved, I am worthy, I have empathy, and I am capable. My hope is that this page helps inspire self-love and confidence in other women šŸ’œ The world is not kind to women, especially when we aren’t ā€œfeminineā€ enough or fit perfectly into a category…. I have always loved playing ice hockey and I also love being girly, so I know how it feels. Sometimes I miss having the confidence of walking into the rink in stilettos, and seeing the look on the faces of adults who were angry at a me for daring to take up space. By stepping into the world of beauty, I have gained some of that confidence back and want to help make other women more confident too. I am an advocate for women’s rights because the women before me fought so I could be out on that ice and share what I love on my platform. There’s still a long way to go, but I’ll always try be the voice I needed when I was a child. If you’re looking for a page that makes you feel like you can be yourself, I hope this is it. Whether you know makeup basics and are up to date on the latest beauty trends or are looking for a little help on applying eyeshadow… Welcome! šŸ’œ beleafbeauty confidentwoman redaspenlove beautytip empathymatters
