Apparently the addition I didn’t know I needed to my mom uniform now includes a backpack cooler…and honestly, she’s cute. 😂🎒🌸 ..and oh-so-functional (yep that’s the OT in me) doubling down on this goodie/baddie! 🎒 For beach days, boat rides, park picnics, hikes 🥾 and the tiny people who need a snack approximately every seven minutes. Hands free for holding theirs 👏 (cue the mamas shrieking with joy 🤩) and carrying whatever treasures we’re bringing home 🪨 🍁 . 🤍 The mama-on-the-go find I didn’t know I needed I feel I must share! Stanley Madeleine 13.2-Liter Cooler Bag in Farm Rio Painted Bananas at Nordstrom | Nordstrom

Welcome to our spooky little hydration station. 🕷️💧💕 Road trip essentials, but make them Halloween. 🎃🚗

These Halloween edition Stanley cups had me at the spiderwebs… and yes, the girls and I match. 😂 Add a different straw topper for everyone and there’s no guessing whose cup is whose!

My mom hack: store seasonal cups with that season’s decorations so they’re ready to come back out with all the fun next year. 📦👻

Road trip season 🤝 hydration season 🇺🇸

I grabbed this 4th of July parade Stanley and it may be my favorite road trip purchase of the summer. Between snack duty, bathroom stops, and answering “Are we there yet?” for the 47th time, having ice-cold water within reach is a non-negotiable. 😅

Bonus points for making every gas station stop feel a little more festive. ❤️🤍💙

What’s your one road trip must-have that never leaves the car? 👇

Single mama craft night 🐟🤍

The night’s masterpiece started as an empty cardboard box. 📦 🎨

We drew fish, cut them out using the best tool ever (electric cardboard cutter), painted them every color imaginable, and somehow turned something headed for the recycling bin into an evening we’ll probably remember forever…and they’ll probably repeat with their kids, while never seeing a box 📦 the same. 🐠

The funny thing is, the older I get, the more I realize the things my girls talk about later aren’t the perfectly planned days, rather the messy nights. 🖌️

It’s the fish made from cardboard.
The paint on their hands.
The giggles when Brave started shaking her brush like a catholic priest at a baptism for a hot second…
The way the sun hit the lake and dropped into the horizon while we played.

These are the moments that build a childhood.

Not because they’re big.
Because they’re little.

Including big sister making little sister a homemade “roll” of stickers to avoid a meltdown out of the toilet paper roll 🧻… 💪

And if there’s one thing this single mama is learning, kidding, it’s always many things we learn, but one is it’s that a beautiful life isn’t made from having everything.

It’s made from making something out of whatever you’ve got. ✨

What was your favorite childhood craft or memory? ⬇️

Little matching moments like this somehow feel bigger than they should.

Dirty bird vs. clean bird and I wouldn’t trade either version for the world 😂🦢

Mamas…tell me you kept something “for when they’re bigger” and now suddenly they are 🥲

Things That Matter to Them as a Mama 🤍🌮✨

The older I get, the more I realize it’s not the “perfect” things our kids will remember…it’s the routines, rituals, and traditions we create along the way.

The banners made at the kitchen table.
The grocery runs together.
The tiny hands helping cook dinner.
The music playing while everyone decorates.
The way mama made an ordinary school night feel like a celebration anyway.

Tonight we hosted Cinco de Mayo with friends, and just like every holiday around here, the kids made the banner themselves 🎉

I cooked before gymnastics 🤸 so when we got home, dinner was warm, ready, and waiting thanks to my favorite 3-tray crockpot setup 🙌🏼

…Which honestly made the whole night feel easier, calmer, and way more present. Less time stressing in the kitchen = more time making memories.

And one day?
They’ll remember that mama always fiesta-ed with them on Cinco de Mayo 🌮💃🏼✨

School night or not.

No waiting. No asking. No “maybe next year.”

The best question I heard all day:
“Mom, do you want to play with me?”

Emails can wait.
Laundry can wait.
But moments like this… don’t. 🤍

If your little one loves creative play, we made something fun for spring.

Holding a lot and holding gratitude at the same time 🤍
Both can be true.

Lately that looks like simple wins, a water paint mat that keeps little hands busy and cleanup easy.
Full hands. Full heart.

Saving graces of a mother… 🧺🤍

Little systems that keep me sane on the loud days:
• Wicker laundry baskets per family member for easy sorting while folding that don’t scream laundry 🧺
• A hair clip that survives mom life
• The alphabet song slowed down so kids can actually learn it
• A tub nearby = instant reset with water + toys

Nothing fancy. Just things that quietly make the day smoother.

At some point you stop proving.
Stop explaining.
Stop competing.

Not because you gave up
but because you built a life that feels peaceful enough to protect.

I’m not measuring myself against anyone anymore.
I’m measuring everything against how regulated my days feel…
and whether my kids and I can breathe wider into the life we’re building.

Peace is the standard now.
Everything else has to meet it.

Not a mess.
Proof of love. Proof of play. Proof you’re doing it right 🤍

If you’re shopping Valentine gifts that don’t end up in a drawer,
I linked the sensory table, the Melissa & Doug ice cream set, a warmie to snuggle,
and the Stanley Valentine mugs we use daily.

🎀 Simple, sweet, and actually loved.

Nothing about my path was linear.
Life interrupted. Priorities shifted.

I rebuild anyway.

Not louder.
Not rushed.
Just steadier.

Here’s your reminder: setbacks don’t disqualify you, they refine you. ✨

Oh and cheers to my office update! Proof that new paint 🎨 and a new light fixture can change a girls world 🌍!

It may not be Silicon Valley, but it’s my little piece of it, in the heart of my home. 🏡

❄️🎿 Four girls. One hill. Let’s ride. 🎿❄️

If you’re new here, welcome 🤍

We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where snow is plentiful, winter lasts forever, and outdoor adventures are just… the vibe.

I’m a single mama to two girls:
✨ Bril (8)
✨ Brave (2)

And fun family lore: my family knows nothing but girls.
My mom is one of seven 7️⃣ sisters (sorry Grandpa, no boys 😅), she had two 2️⃣ girls (both born on Mother’s Day, oddly enough), and now my sister @floatingonabreezy and I each have two 2️⃣ girls too. Generations of strong, wild-hearted women 💪✨

Today we’re heading downhill skiing with her girls and mine!
⛷️ Bril (8)
⛷️ Anya (5)
⛷️ Sophie (3)
⛷️ Brave (2)

👉 4 little girls. 1 hill. ✨

Follow along for snowy ❄️ chaos, core memories, and how I keep it somewhat sane but fully untamed 🤍 🤘

🔗 Tips, gear, and my mama survival shortcuts are always in the link in bio.

This reusable wall calendar is how I plan my year without feeling overwhelmed.

I don’t use it to cram more in — I use it to see my whole year clearly, anchor what matters, and let the rest take its rightful place.

It wipes clean, flexes month-to-month, and supports real life (not perfect life).

My current obsession? Watching couples who communicate, grow, and actually win together.

That’s the standard and I want it to be contagious AF. ✨

Single moms don’t audition for love.
They build lives that feel good and invite the right people in.

She’s not asking for perfection.
She’s asking for emotional safety.

After relationships that trained you to survive instead of settle, calm can feel unfamiliar, until your nervous system learns otherwise.

I’ve shared the books that helped me understand narcissistic patterns, emotional safety, and how to stop repeating what looks like love but feels destabilizing.

I hope this helps you find your emergency contact energy kind of love.

This is my go-to! Comes with all 3 sizes plus this tote is my favorite because it can expand with a zipper below in case you come home with more than you left with! (Happens a lot!) Haha!

The wheels roll in all directions and is smooth to push or pull! Handle locks at multiple levels so even shorter or younger kids can pull it at different heights. Hard shell so easy to wipe down and nothing gets crushed!

Pizza night, made easy 🍕🔥like easy bake oven easy!

We finally added a pizza oven to our home setup and we are officially obsessed. Crispy crust, melty cheese, and the kids love making their own creations (way more fun than delivery). It heats fast, cooks evenly, and makes at-home nights feel like a restaurant experience without the price tag. If you love easy entertaining, family dinners, or summer hosting, this is 100% worth it.

My car always has a bag of these in it and the scents are amazing and it’s goat milk based! The big pack is in a basket between car seats and a thin pack is within reach while driving!

We never leave for a plane trip without a slim pack in the carry-on for sticky fingers!

Even my baby’s baby loves them 🤣!

Plus they aren’t “baby” wipes so good for the big kids too!

Climbing into the New Year with my daughter and a whole lot of gratitude 🤍🧗‍♀️

As a mom, safety is always my non-negotiable, especially when little bodies are learning big skills and when risk is higher. That’s why I love this 5-point harness. If a kiddo flips or inverts mid-climb (which can happen 😅), they’re fully secured and can’t slip out. It gives me peace of mind knowing they’re supported from every angle.

We always pair it with a helmet to protect those growing brains, and comfortable climbing shoes that give them confidence, grip, and stability without limiting movement.

These are the pieces we trust for mama-daughter climbing dates & gear that lets them explore, challenge themselves, and have fun… while I breathe a little easier 💙

I learned this the hard way. 😬

Once, in Mexico, overhead storage filled up, my stroller wouldn’t fit, and I missed our flight. 🛑 Ever since then, I’ve traveled differently. ✈️

If you’re flying with kids, here’s what actually matters:
✈️ Knowing what documents your kids do (and don’t) need
🛂 Passport + Global Entry prep before you travel
👩‍👧‍👧 Having custody paperwork ready if you’re a single parent
🧳 And using a travel stroller that won’t cost you a flight

I switched to a carry-on sized stroller that reclines, has a real shade, and folds small enough to fit under the seat 💺 no gate check, no pink tag, no stress. It’s saved us more times than I can count. 👏

I just shared a full blog post breaking all of this down, including a moment I almost got stuck in Amsterdam traveling solo with my daughter 😅

☕ Espresso, dreams, jet lag naps, and all.

We never travel without tape + crayons ✂️🖍️

Sounds simple, but it’s our secret to making any hotel feel like home.

A few sheets of paper + kids’ artwork taped up = instant cozy walls, familiar vibes, and happy little creators.

It takes zero space in your bag, sets up in minutes, and keeps kids occupied at every stop, hotel rooms, Airbnbs, trains and planes.

No mess. No stress. Just creative calm while we unpack, rest, or reset after travel days. I love setting them in a cup and making them available for any lulls in the day!
