My nephews and niece (and their parents and grandparents) came over to celebrate my birthday this weekend, and I wanted to have a little bit of spooky season fun for the kids! I set up a pumpkin painting station along with a candy charcuterie board – with most of the items coming from Target! Such a fun way to celebrate the season with Littles! ✨ Sentimental Sunday ✨

I wasn’t sure if these two needlepoint pieces my mama created were “my style” or how I’d make them work in my home. But here’s the thing about pieces with a story. They always seem to find their place.

Now they hang in my Camellia Room, the soft colors and detailed stitches adding a richness to the space. And I can’t help but imagine her sitting with needle and thread in hand, determined to finish what she started, and feeling proud of her work.

One day, I hope to pick up the art of needlepoint myself. I’ve saved a few of her unfinished pieces, and it would be such a gift to complete them — to carry her work forward and frame them in my home, just as she once dreamed.
