I love me some basics. And these two are on repeat in my closet. This cropped t is so flattering! It doesn’t bag out through out the day, and It’s easy to layer while the mornings are chilly and the afternoons are a bit warmer.

I love the way these jeans fit. The don’t emphasize my pooch. The wash is really nice, and I’m replacing an older pair that bags out earlier with these.

Making myself a priority has been hard lately. Some days even getting a shower feels like a struggle, when I’m trying to fit everything into slivers of time. And let’s face it, not taking care of yourself can have a huge impact on your mental health. So I’ve been trying to push myself to get ready a few days a week.

Now, we might not be doing full glam everyday. But getting ready can consist of getting an outfit that I put effort into on. Not just the first clean thing I found. It might look like my “mom fit” with make up done. Whatever it is, it’s me taking sometime to put effort into myself. And it has been helping my confidence and to bring me back to myself.

As someone who pretty body neutral / body positive, the way that my postpartum body has been having a negative affect on my mental state has really thrown me for a loop. I’ve worked really hard to have this positive mindset, but lately I’ve been getting back into ancient thought patterns that just don’t serve me. So, I’m trying really hard to work through those things.

One thing I’ve been trying to do, which is harder in the winter with freezing temps, is practice not hiding from my body. It’s so easy to burry myself in sweats Adam Sandler style every day. But the more that I “face myself” the easier it is to accept and love myself where I’m at. Vs the imagine that I have in my mind.

My fav lip combo right now. This drug store liner is an OG and I have one in each of my bags/ purses. It works with every gloss/ lipstick and I’ve even used it as eyeliner before.

I’ll be the first to admit I slept on these @summerfridays lip oils, and boy do I regret it. They’re super hydrating without being overly sticky and I’m so glad I scooped up 2 colors.
