This client came in with a few non negotiables. Keep their dark vintage console and their existing rug, and find a neutral sectional that could actually work for a growing family. So we anchored the room with a cozy oatmeal sofa, then built around it with sculptural pieces to keep things from feeling flat. A travertine top coffee table, caramel leather chairs for a little drama.

This is how you get a space that feels calm but not boring. It is about contrast, texture, and giving a neutral room an actual point of view and personality.
