6 MONTHS LATER… WE FINALLY GREW SOMETHING 😂🥒🌱 Morgan spent an entire YEAR preparing for this garden. Built the raised beds, started seeds from scratch, bought plants and invested in “raised bed soil” from a local company… only to have EVERYTHING fail. 😭 Turns out the soil was mostly compost, and the bottoms of our beds had turned into literal SLUDGE. Four months ago, we pulled everything out, removed as much sludge as we could, washed the roots of our plants, added actual soil and replanted EVERYTHING. Since then we’ve BABIED this garden through 100°+ Texas heat. Watering twice a day, fertilizing every 2 weeks, treating for pests… just BEGGING something to grow. 😂 Our cucumbers are FINALLY taking off, and today we looked under the vines and found THIS ABSOLUTE UNIT hiding underneath. 💀🥒😂 SIX MONTHS OF WORK FOR ONE PICKLING CUCUMBER (oh and a baby lemon cucumber) AND APPARENTLY IT’S THE SIZE OF A SMALL CHILD.
