I wish I did this sooner!! If you’re stuck with old carpet you can’t rip up yet, try layering an area rug over it. It instantly warms up the space and makes the carpet way less noticeable. Such a simple fix but it makes a big difference. We rented this house for years before buying it, and we’re not ready to rip up the carpet just yet since we’ll eventually be doing a bigger renovation. But for now, we’re updating this space in small ways to make it feel cozier for the holidays: – Restained the original table (it was my grandparents’ 🥹) – Added new chairs (the old ones were falling apart) – Painted the walls a fresh white — HUGE change – Swapped in a brighter light fixture – Put up new blinds – Added a china cabinet for storage + style If you’re in that “not-quite-renovating yet” phase too, you can still make your space feel more like you. diningroom diningroommakeover oldhome homeupdates beforeandafter LTKHome
