Flower Suncatchers ☀️🌸✨

I cut out some flower shapes from cardstock, cut out tissue paper squares, & grabbed our contact paper to make the cutest spring themed sun catchers! 🌸

Tape the contact paper sticky side up onto a table (or wall!), then place your flower cut outs down on the contact paper (I put the pencil tracing side up because this will be the back of the Suncatcher and then you won’t see the pencil lines on the front side!), have your little one fill in the Suncatcher with the tissue paper squares, put another piece of contact paper on the back, cut out your shape, & then hang up in the window to admire it! ☺️

I love hanging up the suncatchers in the playroom and I’ll be making some for each season/holiday because I always love how they turn out! 🥰

Flower Sponge Toddler Water Sensory Table! 🌸🧽💧

I found the cutest sponge balls at Target today, so I knew I had to make a spring themed water sensory table for my toddler! I grabbed some extra sponges and cut out shapes of flowers and stems/leaves! I added in the watering can and a couple of the flower tools (also from Target!) for the perfect water sensory activity!

Now just to wait for my toddler to wake up so we can play! ☺️

Salad Spinner Toddler Flower Art! 🌸

I am always on the hunt for different ways to do art with my 14 month old and love this! It is ✨relatively✨ mess free (as long as you don’t let them open up the salad spinner, but Macy had fun putting her hands in there and feeling the paint!☺️)!

We grabbed an @OXO salad spinner from Target, some @mondo llama paint from Target, cut out a flower from white card stock, & then let my toddler go crazy pushing the button to make it spin!

I’m obsessed with how the art turned out and can’t wait for it to completely dry so I can hang it up! 🌸🥰✨

You can have your toddler paint any shape (it doesn’t have to just be flowers!) and each piece will turn out unique! Such a fun and easy activity to do with your little one! ☺️

Earth Day Sensory Bin: Ocean Pollution Clean Up! 🌎🌊🐠🗑️♻️

We are starting some Earth Day fun over here! This was such a simple little sensory table to throw together!

I grabbed some ocean animals, trash & recycling I set aside from the last couple days, and tools to collect the litter from the ocean and sort it by trash and recycling!

Perfect to talk about the issue of littering and sorting trash and recycling! Plus any sensory activity with water is always a hit over here!

Earth Day Toddler Painting! 🌎✨🖼️

Macy and I spent the morning going on a circle shape hunt so that we could collect some circles to be used as paint brushes for our Earth day painting!

This was such a simple set up, grab 1 circular object (or a few!), squeeze some blue and green paint onto a plate and let your little one make circle stamps to represent little earths!

I did go to target to grab some washable paint, so I can stop ruining outfits with acrylic paint 😅 I had so much fun showing her how to use the objects as stamps and then just letting her go wild and make her own art!

Now we’ll go spend the afternoon getting outside and enjoying our Earth! 💚💙✨

3 Ideas for Dying Easter Eggs with your Toddler! 🥚💛🩷💙💚🥚

1. Use a whisk to hold the hard boiled egg so that it is harder for your toddler to break! I thought I had some of the normal Easter egg dying kits, but didn’t so I just used food coloring instead! It still worked out great and I think putting it into a sensory table makes it so much fun and is basically a water bin, so your toddler is bound to love it!
2. Add your hard boiled egg into a bag of rice and shake up! This one is an idea that isn’t as messy as the others, but still a lot of fun!
3. Add some cool whip (or you could use shaving cream if your little one doesn’t put things in their mouth), add drops of food coloring, and swirl around! Mix your eggs up to get some really cool marbled eggs!

I had so much fun with all of these, especially since it was Macy’s 1st time actually being involved in the process (she was so little last year 🥹)! I did soak my eggs in some vinegar before we started to help the color stick to the shell better!

Toddler Easter Themed Sensory Table Idea! 🐣

Macy has been all about opening Easter eggs the last couple weeks, so I threw together a little chick themed sensory table for her this week!

I used our crumpled up brown paper for the chick’s bedding and added some yellow feathers! Then I found little chicks at Hobby Lobby, so I thought those would be fun to put inside Easter eggs so that Macy could have a little surprise when she opened them!

Then for the other side I cut up a turf table runner that I found at Hobby Lobby to add to the bottom of our tub as some grass. Then I saw those cute little ice cream bowls at Hobby Lobby and thought they would be fun to color sort the chicks into and they kinda looked like baskets, right?? I also grabbed some mini nests from Hobby Lobby and figured Macy would have fun putting her little chicks in there!

Then Macy saw that chick stuffie at the store and was so excited about it that I had to take it home, so I added that in! Then we found that fun little wind up chick at Target that fit the theme; then lastly the only chick themed book we have currently is the “Never Touch The Grumpy Chicks!” Macy loves feeling all the textures and it is perfect for working on counting as well!

I think it turned out super cute and can’t wait for Macy to wake up from nap to come play! ☺️
