3 Ideas for Dying Easter Eggs with your Toddler! 🥚💛🩷💙💚🥚

1. Use a whisk to hold the hard boiled egg so that it is harder for your toddler to break! I thought I had some of the normal Easter egg dying kits, but didn’t so I just used food coloring instead! It still worked out great and I think putting it into a sensory table makes it so much fun and is basically a water bin, so your toddler is bound to love it!
2. Add your hard boiled egg into a bag of rice and shake up! This one is an idea that isn’t as messy as the others, but still a lot of fun!
3. Add some cool whip (or you could use shaving cream if your little one doesn’t put things in their mouth), add drops of food coloring, and swirl around! Mix your eggs up to get some really cool marbled eggs!

I had so much fun with all of these, especially since it was Macy’s 1st time actually being involved in the process (she was so little last year 🥹)! I did soak my eggs in some vinegar before we started to help the color stick to the shell better!

Toddler Easter Themed Sensory Table Idea! 🐣

Macy has been all about opening Easter eggs the last couple weeks, so I threw together a little chick themed sensory table for her this week!

I used our crumpled up brown paper for the chick’s bedding and added some yellow feathers! Then I found little chicks at Hobby Lobby, so I thought those would be fun to put inside Easter eggs so that Macy could have a little surprise when she opened them!

Then for the other side I cut up a turf table runner that I found at Hobby Lobby to add to the bottom of our tub as some grass. Then I saw those cute little ice cream bowls at Hobby Lobby and thought they would be fun to color sort the chicks into and they kinda looked like baskets, right?? I also grabbed some mini nests from Hobby Lobby and figured Macy would have fun putting her little chicks in there!

Then Macy saw that chick stuffie at the store and was so excited about it that I had to take it home, so I added that in! Then we found that fun little wind up chick at Target that fit the theme; then lastly the only chick themed book we have currently is the “Never Touch The Grumpy Chicks!” Macy loves feeling all the textures and it is perfect for working on counting as well!

I think it turned out super cute and can’t wait for Macy to wake up from nap to come play! ☺️

Easter Egg Roll Activity! 🥚✨

This was such a fun activity this morning! I grabbed our pikler climbing set from @costway , @lovevery building planks, masking tape, & Easter eggs! 🥚

I taped the building planks onto the slide of the pikler set to create a little maze for the Easter eggs to roll down! There are so many fun ways that you can create a path for the eggs to roll down! You can make it as simple or as difficult as you want based on what works best for your little one! Or have your little one help create the path!

If you don’t have a pikler set or building planks, you can use a piece of cardboard and lean it on the couch to make the ramp! Then you can use cut out pieces of cardboard to crate the pathways!

My toddler loved putting the eggs down the ramp! Definitely add this idea to your list of toddler activities to do! ☺️

Easter Themed Toddler Sensory Table! 🐰🥕

Happy April! We are starting some Easter themed sensory table ideas over here! Macy loves her bunnies from Lovevery so I knew I had to figure out a way to include those this week!

For the carrot farming side I just ripped up some brown paper and crumbled it up! Then I found some cute carrot Easter eggs at the dollar store, and threw in some orange pom poms to fill the eggs with! I painted a left over egg container brown so that Macy could “plant” her carrots! Then grabbed our “Garden Time” book so we could read all about gardening! 🥕

For the bunny side I cut up a grass table runner to fit into our tub and added in the fun spiked grass (I found both at hobby lobby)! Then grabbed Macy’s Lovevery bunnies and some carrots so Macy could feed her bunnies before hopping them into their burrow! I added in the cutest little “Hop” book to stick with the bunny theme! 🐰

I think it turned out so cute and I’m sure Macy will have so much fun playing in it!

Easter Egg & Chick Toddler Smush Art Activity! 🐣

✂️Cut out an egg shape onto a piece of cardstock!

🎨Have your baby or toddler pick out a couple of colors to paint their egg!

🖼️Add the colors onto the egg shape and slip the egg into a ziploc bag. Tape it to the high chair, ground, floor, etc. wherever you want your little one to paint! Then let your little one smush the paint around!

⏪🐥Do the process again, this time adding yellow & orange paint to a piece of cardstock to create the chick! Or you can just cut out a chick shape from a piece of yellow cardstock if you want to skip this step!

🐣Let the pieces dry! Then cut apart your egg & cut a shape of a chick! Tape or glue your chick onto the cracked egg! Glue some eyes and a beak and then you’re done!

Such a fun and easy craft that is unique to your little one! ☺️
