I rarely feel this way about a pair of jeans and I have so many that I’m extremely picky on the new styles that I keep. These are a 10 out of 10.

I’m 5 foot four and wearing my normal size, 25 in the mesmerize wash

No matter how many options you have it’s always easier to get dressed if your jeans are one of two lengths.

1. Cropped/ankle length.
2. Long

To find your ideal long length inseam add the height of your lowest heel to your full length inseam, then minus 1/2”

Bonus tip if you combine either of these lengths with a jean that has an opening between 16 and 20 inches you will be able to wear them with any shoe you want.

My 5-step foolproof creative capsule wardrobe formula —
1. Choose a color story
2. Decide what kid of outfits you want to wear
3. Make A master list of pieces that are part of those kind of outfits
4. Think how you can style your picks multiple ways, like scarf as a belt or a top
5. Narrow you list down to 7-10 pieces that all mix match and layer.

I just found a new version of this gene for $100 less than the original. The style from MOTHER , in this photo, sold out on every website when I first shared it a few years ago. You bought hundreds of until it’s sold out. This is the gene that goes with any shoe and also comes in petite lengths. It was recently restocked in a brighter blue but if you are looking for this faded vintage wash try this look for less. It has all the same fit measurements and it’s even available in petite and tall sizes.

Haute Mama goes to lunch. I quickly changed out of my Spanx sweatsuit to join my sweetheart for lunch today. Ends up we got the early bird special.

Retail Math- I’m 5’4” and wear a size 25 in Premium denim and I’m wearing a size 25 in the look for less. I also tried and liked the looser fit of one size up.

I also linked the style from Agolde I couldn’t resist and have yet to find a version that I like that is less.

Sometimes we feel like our wardrobes need more of a revival than a refresh. That’s usually when I look to my favorite movies and TV (like Emily in Paris) or editorials and runways (Chloe currently has my full attention) it’s easy to draw inspiration from these places to revive your wardrobe, especially if you have the closet essentials on my new wardrobe checklist
