I don’t think people talk enough about this part… When you buy an older home, there’s always something that needs doing and it’s ALWAYS expensive 🥴 We’ve got a list longer than I’d like to admit, and while I DIY as much as I can, even the cost of materials adds up so quickly. Big projects cost big money, and I’ve definitely been feeling a little house broke lately… so I wanted to see if I could start creating a bit of that back instead of just spending it. The plan is to find old pieces people don’t want anymore and try turning them into something worth selling. The problem is, I don’t really do quick flips 🫠 I get attached, I spend a whole week sanding, and then not want to sell it when I’m finished 😶🥲 So whether this plan actually works? Your guess is as good as mine 😅 But this isn’t about making a quick buck, it’s about putting my creativity to use and hopefully taking a little pressure off along the way. If it helps even a little, it’s worth it 💗 I’ll be sharing everything as I go, including a completely transparent cost breakdown for each piece, all the products I use and documenting the full process in stories. If you want the links to the supplies I used on this coffee table, just comment DIY and I’ll send them over ☺️ ……………………………………………………..
