Holiday Crostinis ✨

Ingredients
French baguette
Olive oil
Sea salt
Ricotta cheese
Prosciutto
Fig jam
Pomegranate arils
Fresh rosemary
Hot honey

Instructions
1. Make the crostinis
Preheat oven to 375°F
Slice baguette into ½-inch rounds
Place on baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt
Bake 8–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden
Let cool completely
2. Whip the ricotta
Blend ricotta with olive oil and a pinch of sea salt until smooth
Transfer to a zip-top bag and snip the corner for piping
3. Assemble
Pipe ricotta onto cooled crostinis
Top with prosciutto
Add a spoon of fig jam
Sprinkle with pomegranate
Finish with fresh rosemary and a drizzle of hot honey
4. Serve immediately
Best enjoyed fresh while crostinis are crisp ✨

Cutting out old family photos and turning them into ornaments might be my favorite thing I did this Christmas. 🤍
I loved doing this in my clients’ homes so much that I had to bring it to our own tree—timeless, personal, and full of stories.

This tree started with six cedar garlands from Amazon layered into the base. That one step instantly added so much texture and depth. From there, we mixed in a variety of picks and greens to build a curated, wild, and elegant look. It's amazing what a tew extra layers can do to transtorm the whole tree.

formula for a kids' Christmas tree you
won't want to hide in the back room
When kids' ornaments are naturally multicolored and busy, the trick is to choose just two main hues to anchor the whole look.
For this tree, we went with red + blue-bold, classic, and perfect for letting the handmade pieces shine without competing.
From there, layer in ornaments that bring shape + texture. For a kid's tree I like to pick ornaments that look a little vintage or
"kidish". Think: long icicles for length, striped red and white glass ornaments for shine, golden toy horses to keep it playful and beaded trees to keep it looking "homemade". The mix keeps the tree feeling intentional instead of chaotic.
My rule of thumb?
• One ornament per foot of tree.
So an 8' tree needs eight of each ornament at least to feel full and balanced.
To make it sentimental and elevated, I always sprinkle in a few black-and-white photo frames of the kids. It pulls the whole story together and feels so chic.
And for a true kids' tree, I skip the heavy pine picks and keep it playful. This tree just got a simple jingle-bell garland for a pop of color and texture—
and a classic, simple star on top to finish it off.
