Take these beauties with you on Soring Break - they will match everything in your suitcase!

Brown accessories are going to be essential this season! They are perfect complement to warm up your neutrals and they balance your colors beautifully! Make the switch!

A style tip today….

If long tops are making you feel boxy, it’s usually a proportion issue.

When a top falls past the hip without shape, it creates one long line. A slightly shorter or structured top creates definition, without being tight.

Where the hemline lands makes all the difference.

Have you noticed this in your own wardrobe?

Can you find cute Spring Break outfits at Target, even after 50? The answer is absolutely yes!

Winter White is a great option for the month of February! We’re all getting a little tired of black and gray and winter white can brighten your entire look!

Winter white is just one part of my blog post, “What to Wear in February” that you can find on my website, www.dianneinstyle.com

#LTKOver40 #LTKootd #LTKWorkwear
One polka dot skirt, so many options!
This is the e perfect skirt to dress up or down. I styled mine more on the dressier side, but you could easily wear this with flats and sweater for a date night look.

I kept the look more tonal because I wanted to keep the focus on the skirt!

#LTKWorkwear #LTKootd #LTKOver40
Pull-on jeans don’t have to look dated.

The smooth front can actually look incredibly polished - if you style them intentionally.

✔️Choose a modern silhouette
✔️ Skip the full tuck
✔️ Balance proportions

It IS possible to be both chic and comfortable!
It’s not too early to start taking about spring jackets - especially if you’re planning a spring break getaway!

Let’s start with the cropped trench - perfect for both work and play and a new essential for your spring wardrobe.

Red doesn’t belong to just one day ❤️

February is the perfect time to wear it — whether you’re heading into meetings or styling it for everyday life.

A red blouse instantly elevates a classic black skirt.

A tailored red suit brings confidence and presence to your workday.

Same color.
Different approaches.
Both are completely wearable.

If you’re looking for ideas on what to wear this month, including how to work bold color into your wardrobe, I just shared it all in my latest blog
post on my website, dianneinstyle.com

This might not be my best outfit, but it’s one of my favorites.

Running with the Olympic torch in 2002 is a moment I still think about, especially with the Opening Ceremonies today. It’s not because of the spotlight, but because of what it represented. Getting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a part of something bigger, preparing for the moment, and being present to thoroughly enjoy every step.

Style is always about context.
And sometimes the most meaningful outfits are tied to memories, not mirrors.

Run, do not walk to pick up these shoes for Spring (or even Spring break)

Cute, comfortable and a great price! What more do you need???

I just love a fair isle sweater. They are perfect for this time of year - for an Aprés Ski look or an upcoming Olympics watch party.

I purchased my sweater from Hollister - and if you’re wondering why a 50+ woman is shopping at Hollister, it’s because I believe anyone, at any age, can shop at any store. You can always find pieces that suit your style - like this one.

I’ve curated 10 fair isle sweaters for you have fun shopping for this look!

Why not? “Christmas sweaters” don’t have to just be for Christmas! You can repurpose them for Valentine’s Day.

I did find some red sweaters (mostly on sale) if you do want to buy something new!

If you saw my post yesterday (with my amazing suede side stripe jeans), then you may recognize this blouse. But I decided it needed its own post. That’s because I love it that much!

You can see all the great features in the video, so I will skip to the good part - it’s $20 on Amazon. I would buy it for a lot more, it’s that good. I highly recommend!

How fun are these jeans from Boston Proper? They were an immediate “Add to Cart” for me.

What I love about them is that while they have an on-trend suede stripe, the overall style of the jean is classic. I already know that these jeans will be in my closet for years. As a fan of country music, these will be perfect at my next concert. But they can be styled for much more than that. They look just as good with a simple turtleneck. They are not that heavy, so these jeans can be worn all year long.

I love this hack! It removes the bulkiness from the cardigan in two ways.

First, if I wear to try to front tuck this cardigan, it would be way too bulky, uncomfortable, and would just look off.

If I had decided ti leave it as is, the bottom is just a little heavy and would also hide the top of my leather pants. And because I wanted this to be a date night look, it would even look a little too casual that way.

I am linking to my sweater and leather pants!

Sometimes subtle is all you need, like this red sweater with heart buttons from Old Navy.

Valentine’s Day is a month away, and if you don’t want to go “all-in” on hearts, this sweater gives you a little bit of celebration, but a lot of style. The best part is you can wear it at least three different ways

✨Casual with jeans and booties, perfect for a Galentine’s Day brunch with girlfriends

✨Perfectly subtle for the office. Belted with a slim pencil skirt and heels

✨Paired with leather pants, open collar, perfect for date night

This one sweater is all you need to celebrate the holiday.

Golden Globes style → real life wardrobes.

This year’s red carpet wasn’t about excess — it was about intention.
Here’s what actually translates into everyday dressing:

✨ Black & white dominated, with bold color stepping in when neutrals were skipped
✨ Waist-defining silhouettes with movement and asymmetry
✨ Fluid fabrics like satin and silk instead of heavy texture
✨ One statement piece of jewelry — necklace, earrings, or ring — not all three

The best takeaway? You don’t need a gown to borrow from red-carpet style. You just need to know what to look for.

Here are some everyday pieces to add to your wardrobe.

Your “work blazers” don’t have to be one-dimensional. With a few tweaks, you can turn them into an elevated casual look.

I swapped the matching pants for jeans and wore my boots on the outside instead of underneath my pants. I buttoned and belted the jacket and swapped my structured bag for a backpack. Quick edits to change the entire look!

A sweater jacket is a piece I love to wear this time of year. It’s still stylish, but it also is warm and cozy.
I styled these two jackets with jeans for an elevated casual look, but they could both just as easily be worn to work. The blue jacket is from Macy’s and the pink jacket is from Amazon. I love them both. I try to resist the temptation to wear black all season, so picking these pieces in blue and pink was intentional!

Everyone is wearing black right now, but a black sweater outfit doesn’t have to feel basic or flat. This cape sweater from Macy’s has the perfect modern shape to give your winter style a polished, elevated look—especially for women over 50 who want chic outfits that still feel effortless.

Here are three ways to style one black sweater for a polished jeans look, work look or a date night look. Which one would you try?

Another excerpt from my blog post on what to wear in January. Fair Isle sweaters are not just for the holidays - they are also perfect for that January “just got off the slopes” look.

#LTKSeasonal #LTKOver40 #LTKootd
January is that in-between month where the excitement of holiday dressing has faded…and spring still feels very far away. It’s cold, it’s dark, and most of us feel stuck in a wardrobe rut. If you’ve been living in black sweaters for weeks, you’re not alone.

But winter white pants are one way to break out of the winter style slump. They are bright, but still give you that winter feeling. Perfect for January.

These looks are all a part of my recent blog post, “What to Wear in January” that you can read on my website, www.dianneinstyle.com
Here are the seven winter-smart workwear pieces I recommend for January:

1. The Structured Sweater
2. The Winter Weight Trouser
3. The Elevated Layering Piece
4. The Sleek Winter Boot
5. The Work Tote with Winter Texture
6. The Coat That Completes the Look
7. The Statement Piece That Wakes Up Your Winter Neutrals

A refreshed work wardrobe isn’t about buying more — it’s about choosing pieces that support the goals, energy, and presence you’re bringing into the year

Wishing you an amazing 2026!

I’m looking forward to sharing more style advice and outfit ideas next year!

This is my actual outfit for today. Starting at 3:00 for Michigan football game to the Stranger Things finale and ending with Dick Clarks’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve!

Cheers! 🥂
This is kind of a trick question, because I really like this denim jacket from Old Navy both ways. But I want to hear what you think! Let me know in the comments.

As we move away from holiday dressing and into that “winter slump” season for style, I am working on new style ideas to get us from January to spring. This is a little bit of a different look for me, but one that I can see repeat even to the start of Spring.

Wrapping up a week of “non-traditional” holiday colors, I want to talk about brown…again.

I love brown - it can be so cozy. It also pairs perfectly with gold or champagne. You can take a break from your usual black pants and swap them for brown. Brown faux fur is also a great look - I intentionally made mine a monochromatic look.

#LTKSeasonal #LTKHoliday #LTKOver40
“I can’t wear plaid” is something I’ve heard a lot. But you can - just maybe in a different way!

Shoes, bags and scarves are a great way to add plaid to your wardrobe in a subtle way. They are also the most versatile- you can wear each piece in a multitude of outfits and get a different look was time!

#LTKOver40 #LTKSeasonal #LTKHoliday
Mint green for the holidays? Yes, please!

Continuing the theme of “non-traditional” holiday colors to add some different, yet festive pieces to your holiday wardrobe. What could be more festive than faux fur?

I love the “frostiness” of this look. As I mentioned yesterday, I love pastels for the holidays.

This jacket is from one of my favorite Macy’s private brands, Bar III. This exclusive in-house brand offers contemporary pieces at great prices. It’s one of my go-to brands that I wanted to share with you!

I have to share this necklace that one of my best friends made for me and has just started her own Etsy page, DKM Designs by Debbie. I invite you to check it out. Her necklaces are perfect for gifts or for yourself.

I am linking to a similar one but you can see all of her designs on her Etsy page.

Part 2 of non-traditional holiday colors. This round - pastels! Two of my favorites- lavender and pink!

My jacket has metallic thread making it perfect for a holiday outfit and of course, sequins on my pink top adds some seasonal sparkle.

Make sure to check out my necklace - created by one of my best friends. I am linking to a similar necklace on her Etsy page - but thaw has so many more designs to see!
