Wrapping up a week of “non-traditional” holiday colors, I want to talk about brown…again.

I love brown - it can be so cozy. It also pairs perfectly with gold or champagne. You can take a break from your usual black pants and swap them for brown. Brown faux fur is also a great look - I intentionally made mine a monochromatic look.

Who says you can’t go non-traditional for the holidays when it comes to color?

Being certified in color analysis, I know that some women look better in colors other than red and green. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be festive. Pick a color that DOES suit you and build your holiday outfits around that color.

Here’s my take on two colors: navy and purple. They look great on their own, but adding some festive touches in sequins, velveteen or satin can easily make them holiday-ready!

Yes! You can wear brown for the holidays! 🤎

Brown is definitely having a moment and there’s no reason to pack it away after Thanksgiving. Sure, you can pull out the red and green, but don’t leave brown behind.

I’ve got three easy ways to make brown festive and fun:

✨Faux fur - in cuffs or in a faux fur collar or wrap

✨A holiday statement necklace. I have on a poinsettia necklace but crystal and pearls work great too.

✨Metallic glam - a gold metallic wrap and bag instantly says holiday. You can try some fun metallic shoes too!

A menswear look with a feminine touch - a pearl tie.

I’ve always liked a menswear look - on other people - but when I found this pearl tie on Amazon for under $10, it was just what I needed to give the look a try. I love the juxtaposition of the soft pearls with the all- lack look.

The “tie” is adjustable so you can wear it lower, almost like a necklace too. It’s a great piece to add to your holiday accessories.

With things being so casual these days, Injad to include a jeans look. A classic white shirt with embellishment, paired with dark wash jeans and booties is a great modern office party look.
