Here’s a fun way to tie-dye! All you do is take water wipes, and tie them with rubber bands like you would tie-dye. Then you use washable markers to color them in. Remove the rubber bands and let them sit in the sun to dry! Once they’re dry, they feel like fabric and you can use them for different crafts! We made bracelets, necklaces, and change purses!

It's so good for ocean sensory play!
All you need to make water slime is 1 cup of warm water, 1/2 teaspoon of spoon of guar gum, blue food coloring and 1 tablespoon of activator! You can multiply it to make ad many cups as you like! We made six in this video!

This might just be my favorite craft yet! I painted wooden letters and then sprayed them with a gloss spray to make them look shiny! Then I added magnets to the back of them so that the kids could use them on the fridge :)

Welcome to day three of backyard summer camp, where we made our own squishies! We filled them with everything from slime to clay to water and even air! We made crunchy ones we made soft ones and we even made silly ones! We ended the day by having the kids open their surprise dumplings! We made DIY ice cream Play-Doh that looks and feels like real ice cream, and because it's made with frosting and powdered sugar, it's completely taste-safe for little ones too! (Still meant for playing, not snacking.
The kids loved scooping their own "ice cream," decorating it with sprinkles, and playing ice cream shop!
It's one of those activities that kept them busy for so much longer than I expected, and the texture is sO soft and satisfying
Just mix powdered sugar and frosting! That's it! Plus it's taste safe

Welcome to day 2 of backyard summer camp where today's adventure is bug day! We started off our activities by building and painting bug hotels for our garden, next we learned about life cycles of bugs where the kids each got to adopt a bug and build them a sensory home. We spent the next hour doing sensory play with their bug homes they built! We finished off the day by doing a bug scavenger hunt where the kids got to use their nets and bug catchers to catch bugs around the yard! Here one of the things my 3yo learned from the day!

Here's a fun way to tie dye with your kids to make it look like fireworks!
All you need are sharpies, rubbing alcohol, a cup and a rubber band!
Tie a shirt around a cup and let your kids doodle with sharpie! Then you just use a dropper to drop rubbing alcohol on the design and watch it spread! Make sure you put a piece of cardboard on the inside of the shirt because it will soak through:) The cup makes it form in a firework pattern!
Then you let it sit out until it completely dries.
Once dry, either put it in the dryer for 15 minutes or iron over the design on high heat (make sure you have a thin towel between)! The heat makes the design permanent!

I always find myself chasing that feeling for my kids. The kind of day that feels simple, a little chaotic, and somehow turns into a core memory without even trying!

We turned our backyard into the ultimate summer day with a couple of must have @Funscape summer inflatables from @iplayilearntoys! I loved watching the kids race down the slip and slide to try and grab the football, seeing who could hit the target (or accidentally miss every time 😂), and watching them laugh as they jumped on the water cannon to launch balls into the air!

Throw in a couple of snacks and some ice pops and you have the perfect summer day 😉
