I designed these two guest rooms on very different budgets, but there’s one thing I used in both: cane. I’ve always loved cane furniture. My grandmother had it in her home, so to me it feels classic—not trendy. And while it can definitely lean coastal, I think it works beautifully in lots of different styles. For one room, I invested in a cane bedroom set with matching nightstands. For the other, I bought an inexpensive cane headboard and attached it to a basic bed frame.
