After a couple of years of dressing for comfort, this is a fun and welcome change.

The runway saw a lot of structured suits, but real life stores are still showing lots of oversized, relaxed silhouettes. Personally, I’m a fan of the latter–they’re really easy to wear, even for my casual lifestyle, and I love them paired with a graphic tee and sneakers.

We’re continuing our series sharing shopping picks for a few Fall 2022 Trends

This week, talking about Biker Chic!

The last trend we shared was all black–and this one ties in perfectly. If you love an edgy look, this trend is for you.

But if you feel like an extra from Sons of Anarchy in all black and leather, here are a few tips to tone down the trend.

Swap black leather for brown. Brown leather is a nod to the trend, but gives an refined vibe instead.

Pair leather with a softer fabric. Leather pants and a fluffy sweater are a great combo.

Try suede. Suede feels less edgy than leather, and if you’re on a tight budget, inexpensive faux suede looks nicer than inexpensive faux leather!

This week, in our shopping picks, we’re biker boots. This is a great way to try the trend, in a non-scary way. We’ve got picks for all prices, and widths, subtle versions, and options that will get you noticed!

All season long, we’re sharing our shopping picks for a few Fall 2022 Trends

This week, we’re talking about the easiest Fall Trend–which is head to toe black!

This one SHOULD be easy, because I know you all have lots of black in your closets, BUT the trick is to look intentional with your all black ensemble, rather than looking like it’s your wardrobe default mode.

Here are a couple of tips to help you do that.

Make sure your pieces are in good condition. Faded black is not a color (I don’t care what my husband says).
Basics are great, but all black is a great opportunity to add some drama, or interesting pieces.
Build on great pants. A great pair of black pants is worth their weight in gold in your wardrobe.

This week, in our shopping picks, we’re highlighting wide leg black trousers. They’re the perfect building block for a fab-all black look, and if you’ve been living in skinnies for the last few years, a wide-leg pair will feel fresh and different.

Pair them with heels to make your legs look a mile long, or wear them with sleek sneakers to get in on the puddle pants trend.

This week, it’s all about the Chore Jacket. This lightweight layer is a great piece to transition to cooler weather.

We’ve gotten lots of questions about how a Chore Jacket (or coat) is different from a utility jacket or a shacket. There are lots of similarities, and stores may not be exacting in their labels, so don’t overthink it!

Chore jackets have large front patch pockets–usually 4 of them, and no drawstring at the waist.

Shackets traditionally have no front pockets, or just 2 chest pockets, and utility jackets usually have a drawstring.
