lately i’m choosier about where i eat — not in a serious way, just in a “i like what i like” way.

when i do order a salad, i ask for the dressing on the side and extra protein. big salads are expensive now, so i split it in half the second it arrives. lunch today, lunch tomorrow.

it’s an easy way to enjoy it without overdoing it or thinking about it too much.

cucumbers

apples
grapes
tuna
chicken breasts
pickles (kosher dill or nothing)

the babysteps list
for the weeks when everything feels like… a lot.
foods that don’t require a personality shift to eat.

protein (where everyone overthinks):
chicken
turkey
lean ground beef or turkey
egg whites (yes, again)
high-protein greek yogurt
low-fat cottage cheese
tuna or salmon packets
protein powder (non-negotiable)

flavor without the spiral:
real salt
honey
krystal hot sauce
pb2
avocado spray
ebs

carbs that don’t send you sideways:
low-carb bread or wraps
sweet potatoes
berries
grapes
apples
(squash — not my jam, but i respect it)

veggies that won’t guilt-trip you by wednesday:
broccoli
peppers
spinach
(no shame if broccoli never makes it home)

quiet tools that make the week easier:
bone broth or chicken broth
a food scale
(not glamorous. extremely effective.)

too much of a good thing is still too much.
