I miss the beach in a way that hits deep. The air that smelled like salt and sunscreen. The sound that made your thoughts finally shut up for a minute.

Now it’s just cold wind and gray skies in Pennsylvania, and I keep catching myself scrolling through old photos like they might warm me up, like maybe I can trick my body into remembering the sun.

There are some days when you just fall asleep and forget to takeoff your makeup. Though I usually have more steps to my cleansing routine, on a quick morning, I like to just get the old makeup off fast and get going.
