Had the opportunity to do a collaborative one-on-one yesterday! As makeup artists, we can end up spending a lot of time on our own, so it’s a real treat when we get the chance to be creative together, observe, teach, and learn new things from one another. I love seeing how other people approach things—our processes and methods can be similar or quite different, yet still achieve the desired outcome —and I love art for that reason. I’m a big fan of continuing education to expand the scope and depth of my knowledge and technical skills. During this quieter season in the lead-up to go time, I’ve enrolled in masterclasses with Selena Marchand (@selenamup), Asia Nicole (hmbyasianocole), Adriana Mejia (@adrianamejiamakeup), Kendal Kazeil (@kendalkazeilmakeup), and, next up, Jennifer Mendez (@makeupbyjenxiixii).
