Yesterday I shared the progress... today they're DONE. I went back and forth on the baluster design, but ultimately decided against baskets and knuckles because I didn't want that overly 2000s look. We went with straight satin black iron instead, and it was 100% the right choice for this house. The Coffee Brown stain with the black iron and white trim is exactly the classic, updated look I was hoping for. It kept the character of the staircase while completely elevating it from the old wood spindles.
