This is such a fun tree and one of my favorite designs this year. I truly enjoyed the design process for this one! A couple bits of info:

1. The ladders were painted red. I didn’t buy them like that

2. The penguins are placed on a piece of 4” white velvet ribbon and meant to look like they are sliding down the ice.

3. The polar bears are Melissa and Doug.

Here's an easy way to add ribbon to your tree. I included the 4 inch platinum velvet ribbon here and added a 1 inch as I think that would be a nice addition.

The eucalyptus spray that I used is unfortunately not available, but I listed some others here that will give you the same type of look .

This is by far my favorite ladder of all time. It's so light and slim. I bring it to my installs and it's very easy for me to pack. I highly recommend.

Note: If you are decorating a 10 to 12 foot tree then I would suggest the six step.

This is my favorite tree of all time. The beautiful pink is so elegant and romantic.

The gorgeous sleigh is perfect as a tree stand! This is solid wood sleigh that measure 42”L x 19W x 24”. Here’s a few tips that answer many of the questions I’ve been asked.

1. The most important tip that I can give you if you plan to use it in the way that I have is to measure your tree stand first. The sleigh base size is 17” wide x 21” an our 22 inches stand fixed perfectly on an angle.

2. The tree that I’m using in this image is 7 1/2 feet tall. It is not wobbly as many think it might be. That said, anything slimmer would most certainly be wobbly. I also think that anything taller might look a bit funny and ultimately it won’t fit because the stand will be too large.

3. The sleigh does not come assembled. It has 5 pieces and it’s super easy to put together. The wood smells fantastic too!

This sleigh immediately gave off “Tree Stand” vibes! It’s a beautiful piece with incredible quality. The most important tip I can give if you plan to use it this way is to measure your tree stand first. The sleigh’s base size is 17” wide x 21” and our 22” stand fits in it perfectly on angle.

• Flocked picks to give the tree a snowy effect
• Frosted eucalyptus picks for added texture
• 4” wired sparkly snowflake ribbon (Tip: each roll is 5 yards long. I recommend getting at least 4 rolls)
• A queen-size white fluffy comforter to create a snowy base under the sleigh
• Metal bells hung off the side of the sleigh, which can also be placed throughout the tree
• Adorable polar bears (currently unavailable, but I’ll let you know as soon as they’re back in stock!)

The ornaments? Absolutely stunning, and all from Sullivans!

This client prefers a bow topper instead of a topper with picks and sprays. For this one I created 10, 2 loop bows and wired them into the top of the tree. I also used 2 ribbons, a 2.5” with a 4” on the bottom to give it further dimension. The plaid ribbon has always been a fan favorite and you can create so many different looks by using a different color underneath. Very versatile.

This is one of the first trees I did when I moved here. I wasn’t a business yet and I was just enjoying decorating for friends.

Good quality real touch garland is very hard to find. I finally found the best of the best Garland and I want to share it with you.

There are a few reasons why I’m in love with this garland:

1. It’s full and lush. Sometimes I’ll get a garland online and it ends up being this tiny string of garland. Ultimately I’ll need 10 of them to be as thick as one of these garland.

2. The branches are soft and look very real. If you look closely at real touch Garland, many times the branches shout “I’m plastic”. Not this one. It’s perfecto!

3. There are matching pieces to the collection I showed including wreaths and dripping garland. I showed it in the video but you can use the picks to extend the garland a little bit longer in case the size you got is just a hair too short. That will save you money in the long run.

This is some of the most beautiful decor from @sullivanshomedecor .

The LED Teardrop ornaments were the inspiration for the tree. They are crafted so beautifully and they have a light that can turned on by simply twisting the top.

Typically I use ribbon in my trees but when I saw these beautiful red leafed sprays, I knew I didn’t need ribbon.

Tip! These sprays are very long. The trick to using them throughout the tree is to cut the branches off. Then one stem turns into 6 picks for the tree.

Lastly the red and white velvet ornaments are covered in bling and perfectly fit the essence of the tree.

I have 4 King of Christmas trees and the Queen has always been my favorite.

This is the 8’ Queen Slim Flocked tree. There’s so much to love about this tree. Here’s my thoughts:

Flocking: Flocking means it looks like snow on the branches. Quality flocking is important because it can make a big mess. The flocking on King of Christmas trees looks like fallen snow and it stays put! No mess!

* Number of tips: This tree has 2455 tips. That’s a lot of tips! This is the number of branch tips. If you buy a tree with a low number of tips the tree will look bare. You really don’t want to see the pole of the tree.

* Warm white LED Lights: Lighting is important. LED lights use less energy than traditional incandescent lights.. And sometimes the lights look like the don’t belong on the tree. This tree has 1000 lights.

* Type of Tips. Tips can be realistic or classic. Classic have a wire in them that is bendable and they are usually in the back of the tree. I use these as a wire to hold on ribbon. Classic branches are great, but they don’t look real. In my opinion, buy a tree with them in the back of the tree, but the front branches should be realistic. This one is special because the tips have 3 points. That’s what I love the most. It looks more organic and realistic.

* Power Pole: This is the best invention! The tree comes in 3 parts and the electrical component is in the middle of the tree. No more finding cables and connecting at every level! Genius

Christmas Decorating Essentials!

When decorating a Christmas tree, there are few things you should have on hand to ensure a flawless execution. These are my tried-and-true accessories:

Floral Wire: I wire all the ornaments on the tree to remove the distraction of the hanger and create the illusion that the ornament is floating from the branch. It’s also a great way to keep the ornaments from being pulled off the tree by little hands or animal paws.

Wire Cutters: A nice small pair will be just fine. These are the ones I use.

Fabric Cutting Scissors: These are essential for cutting a nice clean edge tail on your ribbon. Ribbon only though! Cutting wire with these scissors will damage them.

Gel Glue: For when those little tops pop off your ornaments! Any clear glue should be fine but I use gel Gorilla glue.

Long Gloves: You are going to think I’m crazy but trust me, these will save your arms when fluffing the tree. Remember that you have fluff from the inside out, and that will scratch up your hands terribly. Save your arms!

Cordless Vacuum: I’ve tried so many vacuums and this one has been the best. It’s lightweight and super powerful. Plus is really pretty for a vacuum cleaner!

This has to be one of the most beautiful ribbons I’ve seen. It’s Royal blue velvet with embroidered crystals lining the edges. It’s definitely a statement ribbon.

While used a lot of it in this video, you could really use this as an accent, therefore only needing one roll. (Depending on the size of the tree)
