A chaotic brass picture ledge tutorial đ In phase 1 we added beadboard panels from Home Depot with a 3 inch board on top. This ended up being 64 inches tall in our space! We attached the boards with construction adhesive and brad nails. Put the trim back up and added a coat of paint to everything-Sherwin Williams Pure White! Then Jeff got to work on the ledge made out of black walnut (you can get this at your local lumbar yard or just stain a piece of wood to the color of your liking). We went with a ledge thatâs 4 inches deep so weâd have enough room for the brass railing and art to be safely be displayed. Jeff dry fitted the brass railing we got off of Etsy and since we used black walnut we just had to oil the wood to bring out that beautiful color! He attached the railing using the smallest screws known to man đ and then we attached it to the top of the beadboard using construction adhesive and brad nails. We added another trim piece right under this for a more finished look as well as trimming out the 2 corners of the wall. Added a fresh coat of paint to the new trim and then installed black walnut pegs to match the railing! The art is a variety of prints and frames mostly from target and Etsy that I layered! The big frames have a command strip at the top so they donât fall down. So in love with how this turned out and so happy that itâs the first thing guests see when they come over đ LTKHome LTKStyleTip
