Crown molding was in…then we realized we put it up wrong. Cuts are all right but it’s almost like we slanted it too much? Either way, just came to say last time we killed it and this time we’re learning more.

Back to the drawing board we go. Once the crown is up we can fill holes and paint it plus the ceiling. Then trying my hand at a new painted stripe design 🤭

Gingham painted wallpaper!

1. Decide what size you want. We did 5 inches. A laser level is crucial for this project to help you know you’re spacing for taping.
2. Tape 5” horizontally
3. White paint helps with bleeding but not necessary(we still had bleeding)
4. Paint in your lightest color
5. Remove that tape while still a touch wet
6. A few days later, tape vertically again in 5”
7. Paint in your lightest color again
8. Leave the tape!
9. Came back a few days later to tape horizontally in 5”
10. Paint in your darker color
11. Remove all tape
12. Voilà! Gingham painted wallpaper 😍

I love gingham so the gingham liners were too cute to say no. We did lavender and pink for our girls and the thicker gingham plaid for my son.

DIY a frame for your TV!

I love how this turned out and it matches the one we made for our Alexa too.

You’ll need:
- Decorative trim (3 pieces for a 65”)
- Wood glue
- Stain, paint or rub’n’buff

Cut each end to length at 45 degrees
Glue each end together
Duplos to hold in place while it dries 😉
Rub’n’buff
Let dry

If you want to attach the frame on the tv like we did, you’ll use leftover trim to make clips. And then glue those onto the frame. There are so many different ways to attach them this is just what Tim decided would work best for us.

I love using this nightly when I take my makeup off. No more one and done makeup wipes. The Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Cleansing Oil takes everything off and then I’ll rinse with warm water. Floating shelves are very beginner DIY friendly. You cut your wood to size, sand, drill your holes for the pegs, mark on your wall where they will be going, the pegs get fastened to a stud, slide your shelf on. That’s it! You can stain beforehand as well but we didn’t because we weren’t sure what we wanted to do.

Dimensions of our shelves:
- 4’ long
- 10” wide
- 2.5” thick

We are staining the floating shelves, painting the cabinet, and installing the tile next! So close to the finish line.

- Our wall sconces in our bedroom add the perfect mood lighting.

IKEA Tarva Hack! If you have one you know the design options are endless. We started with a gray black stain and euro bar pulls. That fit into our last bedroom really well.

For our new bedroom that really wasn’t my vibe or style anymore. I wanted something that would be a bit more timeless and look more vintage.

I found the perfect inspo on Pinterest. Found the cutest trim, picked the stain and got to work. We had some stumbles along the way but love how it turned out.

Loving my current coffee bar area…

I have had this IKEA vase for years and it’s the best! I bought my tulips locally but these looked very similar to mine and I’ve heard great things about them. We made our riser but this looks almost identical to ours!

The coffee bean canister from Hearth and Hand is perfect too! Can’t forget our cute little pot from Walmart. I’m still shocked about the quality and it’s perfect for our basil plant.
