The Ikea pax hack that actually saves you money! I upgraded the basic white Ikea closet rods in my pax system closet to these gorgeous chrome rods with coordinating brackets. All I had to do was trim them to size, with a little hack saw, and install normally. The craziest part about this upgrade is that these high end looking rods cost less than the cheap plastic looking ones that you get from Ikea. The knobs for my closet drawers just arrived 📦

Now that they’re here, I can finally install the drawer fronts which is the very last step in completing the wood trim in my walk in closet - which was my goal for week 4 of the @oneroomchallenge ✨

What started as basic IKEA Pax wardrobes has completely transformed into something that looks beautiful & built in. I can't wait to show you the difference extending the cabinets to the ceiling, and adding baseboards & trim to make the doors & drawers appear inset makes 🔨

Next week I’ll be painting the cabinets to match this striped wallpaper & I’m still deciding between these dreamy shades of blue. Which one would you pick? 💙

Just installed the prettiest blue linen striped wallpaper on the back of my ikea pax wardrobes to hide the seam on the back & it looks so pretty, polished & high end. The install was easier than expected too. It comes pre pasted, so all you have to do is spray it with water to activate the glue & hang it. I found it was very forgiving.
