When we planned out our walk in closet with the Ikea pax system this slide out tray was originally intended to hold belts & sunglasses but it ended up being so much more useful as a drop zone. Our closet is all wardrobes & doesn't have any table top or work surfaces so this slide out tray in the middle of the room ended up being the perfect space saving solution for placing clean laundry and using it as a work surface to fold and sort things & get them on the wooden hangers before sorting them into their perspective wardrobes.
