Hoya latifolia ‘pot of gold’ formerly known as macrophylla ‘pot of gold’ or may just know as “pot of gold” is a beautiful Hoya to grow. It isn’t a fast grower unless you can provide it with high temperatures! However, I’m happy that it’s a slow grower since it’s easier to manage when it doesn’t change often. 😆 Liz’s personal experience only…every environment is different: 🪴Light: 16 hours of grow lights 🪴Water: when dry 🪴Avg Temp last 30 days: 71F 🪴Relative Humidity last 30 days: 51% 🪴Fussy: Temperamental 🪴Rate of growth: medium slow 🪴Rareness: of the respondents to my poll, 29% reported having this one. 🪴Growing Medium: cactus soil (comment “cs” for a direct link) 🪴Fertilizer: I apply a nutrient-rich fertilizer tailored for Hoyas approximately every other watering when the plant isn’t dormant. It’s packed with essential macro and micronutrients, it’s the best I’ve found for hoyas!🪴(drop “fertilizer” in comments for a link straight to your DMs) 🪴Rooting Method: my coco coir mix (comment “prop” for ingredient list) 🪴Time In My Care: 2 years 🪴Would Liz recommend this one: it’s beautiful, but it’s not worth the hassle to start small. I recommend an established plant. LTKHome
