Here's where most people get it wrong. Not knowing when to stop... Yes, this bathroom is pattern heavy. Wallpaper, floor, rug. Having a plan and knowing when to stop the pattern, is key. 😊 Wallpapering the entire bathroom wood have overkilled the pattern and the paper would not have been so effective. Also, knowing how to mix the pattern is key. Failing to mix the correct patterns together will result in a miss mash of total chaos. Do you need a quick and easy cheat sheet that will show you how to mix pattern effectively? Or, if you're like me it will be at the very bottom of your purse. 😂 Designer tip: Consider a vanity that's a few inches away from your walls. This will look like a piece of furniture.

Your kitchen is already fabulous. This counter had to stay....
Your cabinets, counters, backsplash and floors are already giving you clues.
Warm cabinets like honey oak, cherry stain or warm brown usually need warmer paint colours.
Cooler finishes like grey, black, crisp white or cool stone usually need cooler paint colours.
The mistake is choosing a paint chip because it looks pretty by itself.
Paint is never by itself in a kitchen.
It has to work with everything already in the room.

Entrances are one of the spaces I don't get asked about very much but I find them one of the most important.
They are the first impression, they hold the power to set the tone for the rest of the house.
However, this is true entrances.
- A shoe farm.
- A table that's scratched from keys thrown on it.
- Salt and dirt stained rugs.
- Mirrors that are out dated because you pass this space in a wiz.
