My laundry room finally feels like the special little space it was always meant to be.
For 9 years this windowless laundry room was just functional—Now, this custom peel and stick wallpaper is the final touch that makes it feel custom and intentional. And it elevates my sconces + art more than I expected!

I was surprised at how the wallpaper pattern actually made my tiny laundry-closet space feel larger by drawing your eye up. The texture, the custom color, how it catches the light with my DIY sconces - it finally feels like a designer’s laundry room, and not an afterthought closet.

Quick real life note since I know you’ll ask: I papered around my sliding doors without taking them off, just slid them over and papered around the frame. Clear wall protector behind the dryer door so the paper stays beautiful.

I’ve banished the orange! If you only knew the time I spent evaluating the finish BEFORE I ordered the first top…but I learned the hard way.
Apart from the finish, I LOVE having this worktop on top of my washer/dryer. It’s a great way to reclaim space, add a contrasting finish to warm the space and be assured you aren’t going to lose socks in between your units.

SpaceAid’s top came well-packaged, with plenty of screws and one tool to set it up. It’s lightweight enough to carry up the stairs and set in place.

It’s definitely an addition worth having in your laundry space! And if you’re a fan of the maple wood tone, they have that too. 🩶

This bathroom makeover was mostly cosmetic, but the cabinet paint made one of the biggest differences.

I used Sherwin-Williams enamel paint on the vanity and chose the matte finish, but if I were doing it again, I’d choose satin. The matte looks pretty, but it feels a little rough to the touch, and I think satin would give a shinier, more durable finish for a bathroom cabinet.

My other cabinet painting tip: use a roller only. No paint brushes. The roller gave me a much smoother finish and helped avoid visible brush marks.

My port-hole mirror on a rope wasn’t cutting it anymore. I’m so happy with this mirror upgrade! It has a silver metallic finish and lovely curves that complement the wallpaper.

This one Amazon light fixture made me hate doing laundry a little less.

Hanging a mirror over freshly installed wallpaper sounds simple… until you remember you have to poke holes in it.

I finally finished wallpapering this room, enjoyed it for approximately 5 seconds, and then immediately had to start drilling into it. 😅

The anxiety was real, and the stud finder was aggressively wishy-washy. The wall behind this mirror may or may not now resemble Swiss cheese.

But the finished result? Worth it.
