I can’t believe I haven’t thought of bringing blue into my fall decor yet! But I love the way it’s working.
Balancing light blue plaid pillows and throws with rust and taupe browns still says fall to me.
My affinity for French flair in my decor carries true in my dining chairs and plaid light blue….as well as the rustic light wood tones.

I think the fall garland on the mantle is beautiful, but I’m not willing to garland my mantle for four months of the year. For fall I’m much prefer a contained display of festivity. One that doesn’t threaten collapse or being pulled down by a child. That’s why this bowl is such an amazing find. It’s rustic, so it immediately speaks to fall, and elevate my inexpensive and simplistic fall decor and it stretches a good distance on my mantle, giving it a focal piece without overwhelming the space.. I love it!

In break from tradition, I’m editing my fall console table this year. Maximizing simplicity over enthusiasm for all things fall.
And I’ve enhanced my table some as well-painted the corbels, added wood covers with wood decals to the boxes and added some ottomans. I’m considering adding a piano hinged door to the opening to hide my boxes but that might be a later project.
I also finally finished my deer artwork featured here on my table. If you love this look for fall, don’t worry, I found some similar for you. Happy Fall y’all!

Honestly, I’m a little mad that I didn’t try this sooner! I think it turned out so well! And the hardest part was really taping, but next time I think I will do the glass protecting jelly that I used on the bottom row of pains as that seem to be a little bit faster. But as far as process went, I did the yellow base let that dry and it dried super fast then I went over it with a brown color and use the wood rocking tool immediately after and worked my way around the mirror doing that. Then I went back over with some white touches with my fan brush to give it a weathered look.

Never underestimate the power of a little paint!

Sometimes the best window hardware is one that disappears completely. I love how this window turned out! And it only took some drilling and screws to attach the track, which came with its own connectors and rollers. You do have to cut the track to size-I had to involve my husband for that part. But it was well worth it!

I got tired of walking into my boy’s bedroom and finding the comforter halfway on the floor every morning. 😅

So instead of fighting the same battle, I sized WAY up, wrapped the oversized comforter under the mattress, and basically made the bed indestructible.

Now he can just pull the covers back up instead of remaking the entire thing from scratch. Bed-making = so much easier.

I got completely catfished by a pair of “cream” double gourd lamps that showed up looking straight-up butter yellow. 😅
