Don’t be like me and ignore the obvious culprit in the room… The ugly hookups were definitely not helping things, but the lighting was quietly making the entire space look strange — very much like a utility closet with appliances. I actually started to hate all of the finishes in here, and I’m realizing now that the lighting was a big part of the problem. We finally swapped out the old fixture this weekend for one I was gifted a while back, and honestly, I’m annoyed I waited this long. The softer, warmer lighting made the whole room feel happier almost instantly. It’s still not finished. Not even close. I have big plans for this room and a few other little “quick projects” planned that will absolutely not be quick. 😆 But this one change made the room feel like it’s finally heading somewhere.
