We made it to our favorite island. It’s our favorite not necessarily because it’s the best or most beautiful in the world but because I’ve been coming here since I’m 6 months old and I’m a creature of habit, a sucker for clean sea and slow living. A bonus is having family here too and getting to speak the language in now teaching Liam. Seeing him out together sentences and trying to communicate with his cousins is the cutest thing to me. It’s a place where I can fully unwind, recharge and ground myself.🫶🏼

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m so ready for fall in the city. Although summers on Silba will forever be my favorite. We always feel so grounded there, reconnect with nature, our family and ourselves. It’s the perfect reset. And coming back to the city is always such an indescribable feeling. Everything is inspiring and even more exciting again.

Is it just me or do you sometimes look at your camera roll and think „wow, I’m really in this beautiful place right now.“, as if it’s not enough to just absorb it with your eyes. I love to lay in bed and scroll through „the day“ or „the week“. I’m definitely guilty of taking too many photos and videos, especially of Liam. But honestly going back in time by watching videos and photos from a year ago makes me happy. In a way I feel like I’m extending that moment and reliving it and at the same time acknowledging how much strength, growth and love it took to get to the present moment. The last two slides are pretty much exactly a year apart. And while I don’t like paying for Liam’s airplane ticket now that he’s two, I love how much easier it is to travel with him now… and in general how much we’ve all grown as a family.
