OUTDOOR TV watching is my new favorite hobby! It’s so nice to sit outside and casually watch a show or sports. And since we used a stand, it’s portable. We added casters to it for easy relocation from the covered patio to different places in the yard. Also, the stand uses a bracket system so the TV comes off easily for rainy days or long term storage. Linking ours and other options so you can get the style that is right for you.
(This model does not come with casters. We chose the one with the iron base and added the casters later. Make sure you check the weight requirements before purchasing, as you don’t want your stand to fall over when moving it around)

Tiles I have played before! Sharing this incase someone is looking for a starter set of mahjong tiles. Note: most tiles are not returnable at all. Some brands on Amazon will accept tiles that are still in packaging. Check the return policy.
Slide 1 - green printed tiles from My Mahjong Trove (a tile manufacturer) on Amazon. Travel themed. I personally don’t like the how the red dragon doesn’t visually coordinate with the Craks. The back is like a Kelly green. I own this as a practice set. It’s is a great price for a themed starter tile set. Comes with its own tile bag and blue dice.
Slide 2- the other printed set from My Mahjong Trove (a tile manufacturer) on Amazon. The colors are more pastel. The back is a light pink. I like the bird bams, and I like the soap isn’t a plain square. I also own as a practice set. Again, a great price for a themed starter tile set. Comes with its own tile bag and pink dice.
3- Paradise set from Mahjong Co. on Amazon (created by Oh My Mahjong)
I do not own, but I have played. It is colorful and just pops against the dark floral mat. The back of the tiles are orange. The set is gorgeous. I love the bird bam and flowers.
Slide 4 - A great starter set that is a very pretty clear back with colorful pattern. I do not own, but I have played. It is gorgeous and comes with racks and bag. Note: it has a traditional tile face - some people don’t like the traditional tiles. Looks good with its multi colored racks. And I really like that the tiles come with their own box.
Slide 5- the Kaleidoscope set from Mahjong Co. on Amazon (created by Oh My Mahjong) also a gorgeous set. Bright pink backs. I do not own, but I have played.
Slide 6- Gemma from Oh My Mahjong.com I do not own, but I have played. Gorgeous set! I love the dark purple! It is a pricey set and can not be returned so make sure you have watched the tile reviews on the Oh My Mahjong instagram and You Tube so you can see what the tiles look like in detail and what racks/mat match the tiles. They also have a custom “build your set” page that you can have fun with!

Quilted puffy tote, mat/rack bag and tile pouch. This is a trendy look that can cost upwards of $200. It is an inexpensive dupe that will give you the look for less. Note: the interior lining is very thin and could easily rip. And it’s very crinkly sounding (like a dog toy) But for the price it’s a good starter set carry all that is on trend. If you are looking for a January fitness challenge, I would suggest this resistance training system, it’s helpful for both of us. I personally love the TRX straps to help with pistol squats and shoulder work, and the swing trainer is great for shoulders, back, and core stability. And while it requires a wall and some space, it’s not taking up too much room - like the unused peloton sitting to my right.

To vibe or not to vibe… I have to say that I DO like using the vibe board after working out! However I don’t always choose to do it. It does take up room. I do think it helps with post workout recovery and drainage. Is it worth money or extra space? Yes and no. If you have extra space, then yes. If you are ok with spending $100 or more then yes. Otherwise, it’s a nice to have. It is NOT life changing, only enhancing. HOWEVER, if you have adhd/autism kids that need this kind of stimulation to focus or calm down, then 💯 recommend for 5 minutes each day in the afternoon or before dinner. Hope this helps anyone. You need a slant board! It’s a great way to do squats! Challenges your stability and hits different muscles! Also a calf stretcher that can be used while sitting down. Bottle lap shade! What a silly little gadget! This works if you are short on space! If you serve wine during mahjong night (and you are ok with a bottle on your mat) then this is a great solution to space saving! Also a clever idea for desks or dorm rooms! Take your TV outside with a standing monitor with wheels. We adapted a basic stand with casters from the hardware store since ours is outside and needs to roll over turf sometimes. I recommend using a smaller monitor to help with the total weight, ours is a 40 inch TV. And I do recommend one with less glare than our screen. We keep it on a covered patio and will bring it inside when the weather is bad. We use Apple TV with ours and when needed we will pair with our Sonos move for extra volume (usually when we want to watch games with friends).

New to Mahjong? Let’s get you equipped!
This post is to help you get started or help you decide how to gift a friend so they can get started. (Save this post for info on designer brands - listed at the bottom - for when you are ready to upgrade!)

You need a mat, a set of tiles, and racks. If you don’t have a table small enough to set up, then get a foldable card table. The extras are the carrying case and storage cases for the mats, the tiles and the dice.

I have linked a moderately priced all in one set that I have played in person and it’s a great beginners/intermediate set. Note: it has traditional engraved tiles.

I have also linked a great printed tile set (they are usually engraved tiles), but this set is inexpensive and has custom characters (not traditional ones). You can then pair with the linked racks and a mat.
It would be perfect as a beginners set. Note: it may not be on prime delivery. You’ll have to double check, and the green set has a different tile face.

I have also linked the Oh My Mahjong tile dupes from Mahjong co. that you can get for half the retail price. I have linked a few designer sets that are on the Anthropologie website for reference.

- such a great Amazon find! This set is under $100 (until they realize the demand). This is a cute custom tile face set, but note it is printed not engraved. Therefore I don’t know the durability just yet. However, if you want to play mahjong and the other sets are so pricey it’s keeping you away, OR you want your friend, aging parent, teen to try mahjong or even a great gift for the office lounge that won’t break the bank, then this is your set. As of this post, the pink set is NOT available for prime delivery. The green set is also cute, but with a sunny vacation vibe. I personally recommend the pink one, it’s the closest to the $400 versions. (Again, not sure of the longevity yet, but if you follow me in the LTK app then I can come back and provide updates)

If your spouse dislikes skimming the pool, then you need to gift this robot to them! Skim the pool before guests arrive and each weekend for maintenance cleaning. Easy to use, can charge directly or by solar, and it’s lightweight. So easy to use, you can even put the kids in charge.
