Lately life has been a little difficult, so I’ve been trying to do small things to make it easier. One thing that helps me so much is doing 30-minute resets around the house. When there’s clutter everywhere, I truly can’t think straight! Anyone else like that?
Between work and trying to handle everything around the house while my husband recovers from surgery, it’s been a lot. But I know life will settle back into normal soon. Until then, I’m reminding myself to slow down and stop and smell the roses.

Today is all about new makeup releases, and I have opinions on ALL of them. 💄✨
Let’s start with the Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Waterproof for Eyes, Lips & Cheeks. It comes in 7 shades — and when they say waterproof, they mean it. I loved it on the eyes and lips. As a blush, it was a tiny bit patchy, but I think that was more about the brush I used. I tried Dreamy Pink and really liked it. I’m giving this one an 8/10 for now… but stay tuned because I plan to keep testing it.
Next up: the NARS Cosmetics Natural Matte Foundation. I was nervous because matte foundations usually look too dry on me. After proper skin prep, though, it applied beautifully, blended easily, and didn’t feel dry at all. The shade match wasn’t perfect (though the range is excellent), but I made it work. Unfortunately, after a few hours it started settling into the “orange peel” texture on my chin — my biggest pet peeve. I think this formula would be fantastic for normal to oily skin, but I’ll personally pass.
The Chantecaille Eyeshadow from the new Flamingo collection is gorgeous — truly stunning. Zero fallout, incredible shimmer, and I cannot wait to test the full palette. Today’s rating: 10/10 ✨
Finally, the new Make Up For Ever Artistry Pencils in fresh shades — I have been waiting over TWO YEARS for new colors, and they did not disappoint. I’ve been searching for the perfect pink liner, and this one is exactly that. The formula remains flawless, so this gets a 10/10 from me.
