Needless to say….sometimes travel doesn’t go as planned, but we made the best of it! The Kalalau Lookout at Waimea Canyon is one of THE most stunning viewpoints in Kauai, offering panoramic views of the Kalalau Valley and the rugged coastline—yes, the iconic Jurassic Park coastline! 🌿🌊 This spot is a must-see for any Kauai traveler, but here’s the catch…the weather doesn’t always cooperate. If you’re lucky, you’ll get crystal-clear sunny views of the valley and ocean below. But if you’re not... well, fog happens! 🤷‍♀️ The good news? We didn’t give up! After going back down and doing some hiking in the canyon, we went back up to the Kalalau Lookout.. and the fog had cleared!!! 😎 Sometimes you just have to be patient. Pro tip: Be prepared for any conditions.
