I have been in a flare since soon after we got to NYC, and it’s been really hard on me to get out and do things. We have been making the best of it, and while I was putting Sutton down, Tay got me a couch bed put together!

When I came out, I was happy to see the living room cleaned, but then I saw the couch bed and was so excited! 🥹 Hopefully I can relax and start to feel better soon! 🥹❤️

This is a little different than our usual posts, but we really wanted to show this restaurant because they reached out saying that they were struggling to get noticed with all of the competition of restaurants in NYC. ❤️

She said that they were really passionate and had created something amazing, but just needed a chance to show the world their food! So @mattpeterson_ and us came to @tintonyc’s to order some of their food and hear their story!

We could feel their ambition and energy! They are so passionate about their food! They are a South American-style restaurant and came here from Colombia!

They saved up and, together with their family, opened this restaurant! We know the struggles of starting a small business as we recently started one ourselves. So after hearing their story and trying some of the best food we’ve ever had in NYC, we knew we had to share our experience and hopefully convince some of you to try as well! 🥹

“Tinto Cafe and Bar” is in the Lower East Side in NYC, and the location is so cute and, as I said, like a cozy restaurant in a sitcom! If you guys try it and love it, please let us know, we are so excited to hear your thoughts! 🥹❤️

backstory ::: We have been gone for a few days on a work trip, and we are finally back home. The girls have been with family and have been staying in their routine at home!

We like to take them with us on trips, but when our work trips require us to be in meetings or events for long hours, we like to keep them at home so they can stay in their routines with naps and everything. ❤️

When we got back, Ellie was napping, and Sutton was playing in her play area. We walked in, and Sutton was immediately so happy! She was playing “peekaboo” over and over with us. Maybe to see if we were really there. 😂

Then we went upstairs and woke up Ellie. She was so confused but so happy to see us. She immediately started telling us stories, and we spent the next little while playing with toys and enjoying being home! 🥹❤️

backstory ::: A couple of months ago, Ellie had to get a swap because she was sick and they were testing to see what she had. She hated it and ever since then, she has been nervous about going to the doctor.

We had an appointment to talk about her skin, and we were worried she would be sad/scared. So we grabbed the doctor kit toy that we got for her, and brought it with us!

We walked in, and Ellie was very brave! She didn’t want to walk and wanted to be held, but once we got into the waiting room, she started to relax, even with the Dino books that had slightly scary drawings! 😂

We walked to the back and waited. Ellie ended up only playing with the doctor kit for a second because the doctor came in so fast! But Ellie was so brave and didn’t cry or get scared at all!

She’s growing so much and is such a sweet girl! 🥹 I am so glad that she’s not scared anymore, because we don’t want her to think of the doctor as a scary place to go! 🥹❤️

They are flipping to their backs and floating so well! 🥹

backstory ::: We recently started the babies in ISR! They have been taking lessons for a little over a week now and have learned so much!

Ellie is learning to reach for the wall and kick her feet to get higher in the water. She is also learning how to flip onto her back and float!

Sutton is very young still, so she is learning how to float and wait for someone to grab her! They are already learning so much, and I’m amazed at how they are able to correct themselves so that they are floating the right way!

Ellie and Sutton weren’t sure about the lessons at first, but Ellie has really warmed up to them, and Sutton just has to get used to her swim teacher holding her. 😅 Both of them have learned so much in such a short amount of time, and we can’t wait to see what they have learned after 6 weeks of practice! ❤️

backstory ::: While we were working in NYC during fashion week, we got an invite to go to a runway show! It was for @sherrihill, and they even sent some dresses for me to wear!

Tay grabbed them from the door and gave them to me and I quickly got ready. We rushed over and our on-site contact was waiting for us to get to our seats before it started!

We sat down and got to be in the front row! 🤩 I was so excited because I've always loved to see the fashion runways/shows over the last decade, so to finally be at one during NYFW was surreal for me! 🥹

Some of our friends went too and it was such a fun event! The dresses were all beautiful! 🥹

backstory ::: Ellie has grown so much! It’s hard to believe that she is about to be 3! 🥹 I wanted to surprise her with a backpack while we were traveling, because there was a place that you can go and customize your bags!

For now Ellie is just using it for when we fly/travel, but when she starts her pre-school, we figured it could be her first pre-school bag too! 🥹

It’s hard to even believe that we are so close to that already. It feels like she was a little infant just the other day…

We all went into the store and picked out her favorite patches, and then went home for the day. The next day when it was ready, Tay went and grabbed the bag and brought it back to the apartment. Ellie opened it and was so happy to see her new backpack!

It’s going to be perfect for her toys and snacks, and she’s just so precious when she wears it! 🥹💕

We are SO late posting this! We took these a while back and totally forgot to post them, and now she’s 11 months in 4 days! 😅

This month Sutton learned SO much! She started crawling, she’s pulling herself up to stand, and she started swim lessons where she’s learning to float on her back in the pool! 🥹 She’s tried so many new foods and has officially fallen in love with chicken lol. She’s so sweet and is jabbering more and more every day. 🥺

I can’t believe we’re already planning her FIRST birthday! 🥹😭 This has seriously been the fastest 10 (almost 11) months ever! 🤍

backstory ::: I have always wanted to live in NYC, so since we had to come for a few days, Tay decided to rent an apartment for us to stay in so we could see what it would be like to have an apartment in NYC.

I walked in and was so excited to see all of the windows, and be so high up! We got a 2 bedroom apartment which would be a little smaller than what we would need, but it’s just a dream for now haha. So we made it work!

I’m so excited to spend the next few days in NYC enjoying the city and having so much fun as a family! 🥹❤️
