Day 2 of my 6-week road to my first 5K. 🏃🏻‍♀️

I spent all day looking forward to getting off work and going for my run.

I came home, had a snack, drank my pre-workout, changed into my running clothes, and headed outside…

…just to be greeted by pouring rain.

For a second, I thought, “I’ll just do it tomorrow.”

But that’s exactly how I’ve abandoned goals in the past.

So instead of skipping the workout, I swapped tomorrow’s lower-body workout with today’s run and kept my commitment to myself.

I’m realizing that discipline isn’t about following the plan perfectly. It’s about protecting the habit, even when the plan changes.

Six weeks. One choice at a time.

Because this journey isn’t just about crossing a 5K finish line.

It’s about becoming someone who finishes what she starts. 💛

The hardest part of starting something new usually isn’t the thing itself.

It’s all the stories we tell ourselves before we even begin.

“I don’t know where to run.”
“What if people are watching me?”
“I’ll start next week.”

So before Day 1 of my 5K training, I decided to remove as many excuses as I could.

I got familiar with the route, moved my body a little, and made tomorrow feel less intimidating.

Because the woman I’m trying to become isn’t built by one perfect run.

She’s built by the small choices that don’t receive validation.
