If you have hard water or aren’t using water-soluble products in your hair, you NEED to be detoxing your hair. As a stylist, this feels like something that is NOT optional. On top of your hair already creating buildup naturally and your environment adding to that buildup, then using water that can’t fully be washed out and/or adding products that will live there for an insane amount of time feels like a recipe for weighing curls down and disrupting your curl pattern. If you aren’t sure if it’s really doing much for your hair when you detox it, I encourage you to try it ONCE and then come back to this post to tell me whether your hair was impacted. If you need a professional product recommendation, Malibu Undo Goo is my go-to!
