Dreaming of Summer ☀️ 📌 An accurate representation of what my Pinterest board looks like at the moment. I am looking forward to those low effort, ‘chuck something on and go’ Sumner days. Summer will come around sooner than we think! Floaty Summer dresses, linen, shorts and summer skirts, silk sets, and sheer fabrics is what I’m wearing this Summer. I like to build my wardrobe with versatile pieces that work on holiday and also for everyday. I love to create a ‘Summer in the city’ vibe to my looks, a little tailored linen, my Toteme silk sets, basket and canvas bags, silk and lace shorts, wide brim raffia hats, head scarves and sandals only. Tops are usually super basic a clean white tee, long sleeve silk or an 100% linen piece. I love wearing Toteme & Posse in Summer & mixing and matching my investment wardrobe with highstreet pieces that are 100% linen or cotton.

This Hailey Bieber relaxed look has been a firm staple on my Pinterest board. I love how easy this look is to wear and recreate, very effortless chic. Another look that we can all wear! 🤍

The aim was to find the perfect oversized white & pair it with bits I already own.

I can confirm the Victoria Beckham x Gap denim jacket is very good ❤️ 90’s inspired cut and wash ( I sized up for a more ‘me’ oversized look. Investing in denim is always a good idea. This style in particular is timeless.

📌 I’ve been pinning Summer looks for months, these looks have come from my personal Pinterest board, which I will be filtering into my Spring wardrobe & mixing and matching with pieces I’m wearing right now.

There is a lot of white, cream & ecru. When I think of warmer weather style, I think of my fav fabrics paired with these. Linen, cotton & silk gradually move to the front of my wardrobe, I live in dresses, shorts, skirts and loose fitting trousers. Adding pops of colour is intentional and I’ll be using my canvas and basket bags more but not leaving my leather bags behind.

The key to dressing for the new season is trusting your wardrobe and leaning on pieces we rotate every Summer, not over complicating the look ( if the look feels boring change up the shoe, bag or sunglasses) don’t over think it.

📌 I have been pinning Pinterest inspo for months to help with what I wanted to add to my wardrobe for Spring. Mainly my pins have included some of my fav style muses, taking note of how they are dressing for the season & shining the spotlight on runway inspired everyday fashion.

I have learnt to dress for my lifestyle, which means that I rely heavily on casual, everyday, wearable looks with a focus on comfortable footwear and outfits that are versatile working for more than one occasion.

When I add to my wardrobe I have this in mind and tend to take the approach of investing in timeless pieces, adding trend lead styles to freshen up my existing piece. I go to the highstreet for styles I am unsure of or that I don’t think will live in my wardrobe for a long time. The highstreet is the best it’s ever been for quality. It’s the first time, in a long time I have diversified how many highstreet brands i’m shopping from.

I’ve added a few new pieces to my wardrobe to freshen up my existing pieces. I rely heavily on investment wardrobe additions but still enjoy adding trend lead styles from the highstreet to play around with.

That Margot Robbie travel look tried & tested 📝 I opted a longer line short this time and I loved it. I wore this look to travel there and back on the plane and then for my first day around Zurich.

I can confirm, the reason that this look works so well is that it’s lightweight, comfortable and looks very effortlessly and chic. You can play around with proportions to suit your body and style, its probably the best travel outfit I’ve worn.

📌 Every year I update my travel looks on my Pinterest board, but there are some looks that never leave. I adore looking at 90’s ‘airport chic outfits’ and travel style throughout time.

Although travelling is all about being comfortable and practical I still love to look nice. I actually enjoy wearing nice clothes and feeling a little dressy for my travels, travelling is very tiring so at least we can look nice doing it.

I prioritise comfy trousers & footwear, a stylish roomy bag ( which is usually a tote bag, which can be worn on my shoulder and a big pair of sunglasses. These is something very chic about joggers with a blazer, cargo pants and a vest & a silk coord set, which are usually my choice of outfits to travel in.

📌 My Pinterest board is full of warm weather style and shorts are appearing a lot. It doesn’t have to be super warm to wear shorts and I actually prefer wearing them with something more than just a basic Tee.

There are so many styles I love for the season, I play around with a mix of ‘short shorts’ and a Bermuda ‘jort’ styles. I would recommend a few different fabric styles I love to wear denim, silk, 100% cotton, wearing a mix of a tailored, loose fit or casual style short.

I’m sure we all have shorts we love in our wardrobe already, if you’re looking to add new styles you don’t have to break the bank to do this. My ‘go to’ styling duos for shorts is with a windbreaker, knitwear, long sleeve cotton top, blazer, leather jacket or sweatshirt. The look is always so effortless, cool and can be adjusted for multiple occasions. I am very much enjoying leather & denim and have my eye on primary colours this season, they look so standout and chic.

📌 A white T-shirt is constantly at the centre of my wardrobe, especially for Spring. I’m constantly pinning looks wearing white tees, here are some of my favs from my Pinterest boards.

A clean crisp white tee is makes an outfit feel fresh and I find them so easy to wear. The neckline on a Tee is what I pay attention to, a snug fit on the neck makes the Tee look more premium & preferably a 100% cotton material tends to wash well and live longer in my wardrobe. I am also partial to a linen or linen blend fabric.

You cannot go wrong with a white Tee, pair it with all of your bottoms in wardrobe, I particularly love with white trousers, denim, linen trousers, slip skirt, mini skirt, shorts or joggers.

Bank holiday outfit planning! 📝

I have a few things planned for the long weekend & in true me fashion I like to preplan all of my outfits for the weekend to avoid those ‘I don’t know what to wear’ moments . I really find that it takes the stress out of getting dressed and really helps when I need to get out of the house quickly.

I am spending time with friends and family, I have a breakfast date planned, but spending a lot of time in doors with family for a few gatherings with some countryside walks. My outfits reflect this. As always they are comfy, includes denim, leather and easy to Chuck on jackets. There is definitely flexibility where I may swap out sandals for trainers, smaller bags for cross body bags and maybe add a thermal layer if needed.
