This house is old. Like 1928 old. What it doesn’t have is a linen closet. So…we improvise. Baskets give the towels their own moment. No longer just function…a design element.

These pictures needed their own moment. Pretty on their own but needed a bit of personality…a little dressing up. These easy to install, remote controlled, rechargeable gallery lights were just the ticket. Now we have a sophisticated gallery wall!

These are the decisions that I am so glad I made during my renovation. The drawer microwave to free up counter space, under cabinet lighting adds the most amazing glow, the slab backsplash gives a clean and polished look, U by Moen automatic shower lets you set the temperature and the lighted mirror so I don’t look like a clown. These are the decisions I would make again and again.

Holding on to the last days of summer. Fresh green beans, veggies from the garden, a glass of rose’ and outdoor dinners with friends. As the days get shorter and Fall starts to roll in, I am holding on to the sun.

What size rug should I use?
A question I get all the time.
A rug should define the space—not fill the room.
Think of it as a frame for your furniture, not wall-to-wall carpeting. You want enough rug to visually connect the pieces, while still leaving some breathing room around the edges. A great rug anchors while providing warmth and comfort.

I’m not ready! But it’s almost fall.
I’ll wear my flip flops as I light the fireplace candles, put out the pumpkins and curl up under the furry blanket. I can almost smell the fires burning in the cool night air, hear the sounds of the marching band at the nearby high school and taste the pumpkin spice brewing at the coffee shop. It will be here soon!
