I’m not afraid to thrift for shoes because I know what to look for and I know a good system to clean and sanitize them! Some shoes I can throw in the washing machine, but some things need to be hand washed and treated very delicately so that the dye doesn’t run or the shoes don’t get mildewed. Ask me how I know! For these sandals, I first sprayed them with stain remover as the soles were pretty grimy. Then I sprinkled them with borax and followed it up with a scrubbing with my favorite buff city soap laundry detergent. Now, they are currently laying in the sun to dry, and when that is finished, will get put in the shoe drawer!  LTKdayinmylife LTKHome
