All of the supplies you’ll need to recreate my spring centerpiece are linked here - as well as this gorgeous (and on sale!) gingham dress! A look back: 31 March 2025 —> 31 March 2018 💐 💍Andy and I met in the Marquis Ballroom at the @hotelatthelafayette in October 2016. He proposed to me in that room a year later, and 5 1/2 months after, we were married in that same room. 👩🏻🎨The Hotel Lafayette’s foundation was laid in 1902 - the same year our home was built - and it was designed by the first female in the U.S. to be officially recognized as a professional architect: Louise Bethune. 🌷I didn’t need to do much in terms of styling, since the ballroom has so many beautiful architectural features, so I kept the decor simple and elegant. 💐This year, I decided to “recreate” my wedding bouquet as part of my dining room centerpiece for spring. I’ll share all of the supplies for you in my stories & save them in my “dining room” story highlight. 📜My brother read this quote at our wedding ceremony. After living 7 years of marriage - it’s still beautiful and rings true: “To be loved but not know is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us. -Tim Keller 📷The last photo was taken by @andybuscemi on our mini-moon in @niagara.on.the.lake the week after our wedding. Our hotel room was beautiful. 🎶 @u2’s All I Want is You was our wedding song - Andy & I performed it together on the violin & piano & then our live band took over for our first dance.
