So I’m still doing my completely made-up no-repeat outfit challenge; I just got very behind posting my looks this week. Listen, life gets busy and I am not someone who believes that y’all want to see what I’m wearing every day. But in the interest of maybe inspiring someone to shop less and use what they’ve got more, I want to keep going until I run out of steam. So this week I wore my favorite wide leg pants, some leggings and boots, and my favorite jeans way too much. Still, no repeats…and could keep going for a long time. #LTKMostLoved

I’m in my skort era.
(Just like I was in 1992 😂).
Ok. Maybe not.
But I do love this skort. It’s super lightweight and comfortable. It’s an athletic nylon like material (I’m sure it has an official name which I do not know) that will pack well and is so soft and easy for summer.
It’s got zip pockets and a flattering tulip hem.
I mean; what’s not to love?
I love it so much I snagged it in black and will be wearing it on repeat this summer in an attempt to curate my classic summer style.
Plus, it’s a steal from Target, so you can’t beat that!

At heart, I’m a basics kind of gal. When it comes to my clothes, I don’t like bells and whistles and I don’t love following trends. I much prefer classic styles that fit well and fit my lifestyle (casual and relaxed).
So for me, that means summer weight trousers in go-with-everything olive, the BEST Target tank I have in about 10 colors, a classic crossbody, Birkenstocks, and my trusty aviators.
I might never win a best dressed award, but I will for sure always feel just like ME when I’m out and about and that means more than anything.

This one from Target is such a great buy, too. Roomy and light, it’s lined but still lightweight. It makes a great casual coverup alternative to a denim jacket and can quickly dress up a casual daytime (or nighttime) look.

Remember when I said I was obsessed with the linen button downs from Aerie?

I wasn’t lying.

Snagged it in white becuase I’m a white button down fanatic, and it will be on repeat all summer. The perfect weight and flow and my favorite part is the buttons line up perfectly to have the absolute best open to close ratio of the neck.

Also digging these shorts from Target. A great balance of polish to comfort, I have them in two colors and love the fit.

On Sundays I do nothing.
Well, that’s not true. I do lots of things, but none of them are glamorous. Most of them involve laundry (peel the unmade bed waiting for their clean sheets in the background), week prep, and house cleaning.
So my main goal is: COMFORT.
I snagged this linen blend shirt from Aerie yesterday and immediately ordered it in two more colors. It’s so soft and lightweight it might just be the perfect summer shirt.

Super realistic mom outfit for a busy and emotionally taxing morning.
Listen, it’s not all glamour, clean hair, and booties over here and I refuse to pretend like it is.

Sticking to classics makes everything easier. Nothing here is “on trend,” yet somehow it looks like it is at least adjacent to trendy.
And in midlife, trend-adjacent is the name of the game. It allows you to wear what you want and makes you feel comfortable, while not looking like your mom.
Also, these Spanx jeans are my favorite wide leg jeans ever and if you haven’t gotten on this trend, these are the pants to start with.

PS: this blazer is sold out but I’m hopeful Target will restock it since it’s an absolute fit. But the Amazon one is a close fit, though I can’t vouch for the thickness and material.

PS: finally broke down and got Chelsea boots. Some beautiful black ones are on their way, but these browns are on repeat right now. Putting the higher heel boots away for this season of life, they just don’t make sense as pretty as they are. But I’m not sad about it.

Major Dupe Alert!!
I have been a dedicated fan of Beautycounters Cleansing Balm for years now. But the price is just a little 🥴 for me. It’s worth it, and I’ll pay it, but I get annoyed every time I click “add to cart.”
So when I found this Cerave Balm at Target for (wait for it…) $13 I was skeptical but willing to give it a try.
And you know what?
I love it just as much.
(If not more).
It cleans off EVERYTHING. It leaves my skin soft and supple. And it’s the first line in my double cleanse routine now, at a much better price point.
Now, the drawback is the ingredients and there is an argument that BC’s balm is “cleaner” than the Cerave so still worth it. And I’ll probably keep a jar on hand too.
But this budget-friendly dupe, I had to share. It’s that dang good.

Today is chilly so I’m wearing it as a coat and it’s keeping me toasty and warm.
