Drop zone part 2! So excited for this charging drawer

Super excited to have a drop zone in our mudroom soon! This is something I’ve been planning since we moved it. We had this great empty space between the kitchen and the garage and finally have a good sense of what our family needs to function better.

This will have a place to drop stuff as we come in the house, organize school papers, hold returns, etc. and a super fun charging drawer powered by @dockingdrawer!

This DIY ball pit was one of the easier and quicker DIYs I’ve done. Build a simple box, cover with foam, batting and fabric.

And he thinks “it’s cool!” which is all I needed to hear ☺️

I took advantage of my maternity leave and re-did my office!

Before it had boxes of books, old bookcases, random mismatched furniture, etc.
Now I have a ton of functional storage for office supplies, extra cords, paperwork, and books. As well as an upgraded background for when I’m on camera.

Adding all the foam was like a life sized Tetris puzzle! And the spray adhesive mostly worked, but when I came back two days later to do the fabric, it was only stuck in a few places, think there was just too much pull since it was one piece I had bent over the sides.

Up next, adding the batting and fabric to finish the frame!

I finished with an hour to spare 😂 so happy the original fabric showed up on time, it said it wasn’t gonna come in for another week or two.

Trickiest part of this was trying to hold the fabric in place to staple, but I made it work! Also putting it in a corner was clutch, because I only needed two outside edges to look nice

A day at the beach with a 4 yr old and a 5 month old is logistically complicated but doable. Here are some of our faves from this trip.

A wagon! This was invaluable to haul everything from the house to the beach.

A tent. Definitely more worth it for sunny days or days where you’ll spend at least a few hours. We didn’t set it up every day.

Chairs for everyone. We got our 4 yr old a chair this year, and while he didn’t always use it, when he wanted to he wasn’t stealing ours.

Beach toys. This could be as simple as a bucket and a shovel.

Beach blanket. Or towel, just one that shakes the sand off easy. Was nice to have somewhere to lay the baby.

Fire pit build part 2 ✨

Building the fire pit itself was probably the easiest part of this project. Definitely a beginner DIY, minimal tools, minimal materials.

Y’all wanted to know how much the pantry project was, so here’s the cost breakdown.

The miscellaneous costs for more screws, paint rollers, glue, etc is always more than I think.
And of course there were extra delivery fees for the original appliance tower I had to return cause it was too big.
