If you’re designing a kids bedroom and don’t want to redo it in two years, this is the approach I always use. I start with a soft, neutral foundation, an upholstered bed, warm wood furniture, and a calming wallpaper. Then I layer personality through decor instead of permanent pieces. The sage bench adds seating for bedtime routines, the textured rug makes the room cozy, and the brass lighting keeps the space elevated instead of childish. Now as she grows, you only swap the books, toys, and artwork, not the furniture. Everything in this room is linked here on my LTK.
