okay so you don’t NEED any of this but everyone’s been asking me what clothes they should buy in my DMs soooo here ya go: 🩺 clinical skills days: for my school we had to dress “business professional” for any clinical skills days so that meant no jeans/short skirts etc (self explanatory really) which meant I needed a good supply of dress pants! I loved the effortless pants and the alanya pants from @aritzia and honestly own like 6 pairs so I never ran out! I personally found pants easier than a dress or long skirt so nothing gets in the way when you’re learning and working on patients! For tops I went with nice light blouses (short sleeve but never like spaghetti straps duh, and long sleeve chiffon material/buttons ups) and tucked them into my pants! They looked professional and were comfy enough to work it! 🏥 hospital/clinic days: usually for clinic days you either wear business professional like the above things I described orrrrrr scrubs depending on the clinic. If you’re excited and eager then for sure get a pair of scrubs (it’s always nice to have just in case) BUT most hospitals have issued scrubs you wear and these are great to wear at first so you can kind of get a feel for the vibe of what people are wearing on hospital shifts! A comfy pair of shoes is also a must so like a nice dressy sneaker for clinic days, and any kind of comfy shoe for OR or OB/Gyn (I have pink crocs) or ER shifts (sneakers!). 📚 study library days: COMFY clothes are key like I need zero tight clothes on me while I’m curled up in the library studying. I love @aritzia matching sweatsuits, @lululemon sets in the summer. I like looking out together when I’m at the library but honestly you can wear WHATEVER nobody judges you. 📖 school/lectures: less strict at least for my school! People really wore whatever! No need to dress fancy but also I wouldn’t recommend like sweatpants/crop tops/spaghetti straps etc because it’s still a professional environment and while you’re on campus you’ll probably see professors/doctors who you work with so 💁🏼♀️ ….
