What did you spend your Saturday doing? because I spent mine completing day 1 of ATLS certification. Day 1 Recap: Learning the art of saving lives in the GOLDEN HOUR [BKA: the critical window we have to be able to identify life threatening injuries after trauma and intervene] Today included: - Completed some longggg lectures - Practiced skills at a few stations - Intubated babies (scary for AGACNPs. We only do ADULTS LOL!) - Inserted chest tubes - Adult intubation practice (pro tip: go UP, not back and up to avoid teeth damage) - Reviewed trauma images Can anyone tell me what we’re looking at in those last three images? Drop your answers below! I’ll tell you what they actually are in tomorrow’s comments! Who else has taken ATLS? Share your experiences! And catch me tomorrow for Day 2!! If you don’t know me, Hi.
