If you’re new here this is my oldest daughter, Charlie - She’s the real main character of the family, not Luna 😂 Today we’re making something simple but so special— @realduncanhines brownies. Charlie’s 8, and living with ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). Food can sometimes feel overwhelming and up until this summer it has taken over her life. Making food together gives us a safe space to explore new textures, smells, and little wins in the kitchen. It’s not really about the brownies—it’s about connection, confidence, and showing her that food can be joyful and shared. Watching her crack eggs, stir the batter, and smile through / get through the process reminds me that progress is made in these small, sweet moments. For anyone walking through a similar journey with their child: celebrate the victories, no matter how small. Today, ours came in the form of gooey, chocolatey brownies and it was her own request !! 🤎 arfid arfidawareness adhd autism supportneedsmoms nurse pedsnurse ot slp baking cooking kitchen
