Q: Can you measure the airflow of a blow dryer? A: Oh, absolutely! 💨 I grabbed my trusty anemometer to check the MPH of my blow dryer, with and without the concentrator nozzle. And the results? Cue the drum roll 🥁—turns out, you actually get more airflow without the concentrator than with it! I know, right? It’s a huge misconception! Everyone thinks the concentrator boosts airflow, but this little hair science experiment just blew that myth out of the water. 👩🏼‍🔬 You’re probably wondering, “Do I really need that blow dryer concentrator nozzle?” Uh, yes, you do! Ever catch yourself moving the blow dryer closer to your head or brush, thinking you're getting that extra heat boost? Guilty! 😏

But you know I had to get all science-y and see what’s really going on. So, I grabbed an infrared thermometer and did a little hair science experiment.👩🏼‍🔬

I’ll admit, I never really knew what the ACTUAL temperature a blow dryer was, but seeing here, I’ll definitely be more careful to not put the blow dryer so close to my roots consecutively.

That’s why I recommend using thermal protection on your hair before blow drying. It’s a non-negotiable for healthy hair. 🫶🏻
