👗 What I Wore:
I layered a sheer mock-neck pullover from GAP over a sweater vest from Amazon and paired it with wide-leg cropped jeans from Anthropologie. The jeans have a petticoat vibe, and I love the ‘swish-y’, super-wide legs — it almost looks like I’m wearing a skirt.
I finished the outfit with wool socks and my Birkenstock clogs. The overall vibe felt like “granola girl with a modern twist,” thanks to the sheer mock neck. Honestly, it didn’t photograph as well as I hoped, but I liked it in person. Next time, I might try a belt to break up the vest and jeans, or a slightly cropped vest for better proportion.
🛍️ What I Purchased:
• Timberland boots: Easily one of my new favorite shoe brands. Everything I’ve tried is comfortable, leather, and high-quality. I’d had my eye on these boots all winter but the price was steep. Found them on sale in the summer, so big snap for shopping out of season!
• Fitted button-down vest from GAP: Grabbed this on clearance during fall. Vests are trending from last year, and I expect lots of pastel options for spring.
🛒 What’s Tempting Me Next:
• Activewear: I love GAP’s quilted sets and their vintage wide-leg sweatpants. I’m eyeing the new oversized scuba-style hoodie — giving Lululemon vibes — and their vintage-wash hoodie that I still haven’t tried. More sweatshirts are always a yes.

I’ve been seeing this Target jacket floating around on a few influencers and finally decided to try it for myself.
For reference: I’m 6’3” with a 36” inseam, usually a medium in tops, but I sized up to a large here. I knew the body length would read cropped on me (totally fine), but I had a hunch the sleeve length would work — especially since most of the other girls I saw were kind of swimming in theirs.
Oversized on a regular-size girly = just right on me 😅
I’ll be honest, I was a little put off by the price at first, but the reviews were really positive and… they were right. The quality feels noticeably better than some of the Target pieces I’ve grabbed lately, and this chocolate brown color sold me immediately.

My Daily Tall Diary: what’s on my body, what I bought, and what I’m eyeing next.
👗 What I Wore:
I wore these blue striped wide-leg jeans from GAP — I grabbed them in the spring and the color is so vibrant. They’re surprisingly versatile for year-round wear, and the length is perfect on me.
I paired them with an oversized navy cotton cable-knit sweater from GAP and kept everything monochromatic, which always makes an outfit look instantly more intentional.
For fun, I added my embroidered mermaid socks from Sock Candy. You can’t fully see the detail in photos, but they match the blue in the pants perfectly — a tiny matchy-match moment. Sock Candy also offers extended sizing up to a women’s 13, which I appreciate because one-size socks never fit if you have bigger feet. These are great quality.
Shoes: my bass Mary Jane loafers in a rich brown, just to break up all the blue. A bright red suede Mary Jane would’ve been really cute here too with the texture mix.
🛍️ What I Purchased:
• LOFT wide-leg trousers — they have a denim look but a velvet athletic racing stripe down the side. The texture mix makes them feel more elevated than standard trousers.
• Darn Tough socks — my all-time favorite socks for hiking, workouts, or casual wear. They offer select pairs up to a women’s 14/15 and the quality is unmatched. These truly are life-changing socks.
🛒 What’s in My Cart:
• Apres June oversized cashmere polo — I hesitated the first time they released this (not tall-specific + the price), but I’ve thought about it ever since. Now there are new colors… probably a sign to go for it.
• Old Navy cotton sweater — I love when retailers offer 100% cotton knits. They actually hold up. Anything blended with acrylic/nylon/polyester is going to look dingy in a year. Cotton will last season after season.

👗 What I Wore:
I wore my matching Sky Dolls sweatshirt + wide-leg sweatpants set in the cranberry color. I already own this set in another shade and practically live in it, so the second I saw this color drop… add to cart → checkout → done.
I sized up to a large tall in both pieces. I could’ve done a medium tall in the pants since they fit oversized, but I wanted that loose, roomy fit in the sweatshirt.
The fabric is super soft, fleece-lined, and has a hint of stretch. And the best part: the pants have a toggle at the hem so you can cinch them up if they’re running long — keeps them from dragging and ruining the hem. Love that for us.
🛍️ What I Purchased:
• Free People Quilted Carryall — I bought mine about three years ago and it has survived everything. They keep releasing new colors, and now there’s a printed version… I’m trying to justify another because my original has held up so well. It’s huge, washes surprisingly well, and the construction is solid.
• Lands’ End Maxi Duffle Coat — I already own one and needed a second. It’s one of those winter coats you end up living in because it’s warm, durable, and tall-friendly in length. Such a staple for my winters.
🛒 What’s in My Cart:
• American Eagle Après Chill Set — loving the textures and colors. The pants come in long inseams, and I’m curious about their lounge sets since I haven’t tried them before.

👗 What I Wore:
Today’s outfit leans very “cabin-meets-office” in the best way. I wore my GAP cotton cable crewneck sweater in cream and paired it with the cream wide-leg track pants from Athleta.
They’re technically athletic pants, but the front seam detail + the subtle satin stripe down the side give them a dress-pant look. With the snow and ice we’ve had, I finished everything with my Cole Haan leather boots.
The monochromatic cream kept the outfit elevated, while the oversized sweater + wide-leg pants combo kept me warm and comfortable all day.
🛍️ What I Purchased:
• Another pair of Athleta wide-leg track pants — I have a few already, and I grabbed a new pair over the summer during a major sale. They’ve been running strong holiday deals, and the quality is consistently so good. Tall-friendly, elevated, and way more sophisticated than “track pants” should be.
• A retro-style Stanley cup — the pastel colors are so good. Pastels feel like they’re fully back for spring… and not just in an Easter-adjacent way.

What I’m wearing. What I bought. What I’m eyeing next.
👗 Wearing:
Future Collective cardigan from Target — oversized, soft, gold buttons, and a little shaggy in texture. Kind of like a tweed Parisian lady jacket but as a cardigan.
Fit is tall-friendly, but sleeves… not so much. Still keeping it because it’s genuinely cute. I’m in a medium.
Paired it with my green khaki cargo barrel pants from GAP. Since they hit at the ankle, the oversized-on-oversized look feels balanced.
Added floral Sock Candy socks and chunky Free People lug-sole loafers for a fun, slightly sporty finish.
🛍️ Purchased:
• Brown Carhartt beanie — winter essential, worn constantly, shocked I didn’t own this color already.
• Clarks plaid tweed Wallabee loafers — finally tried them on and instantly understood the hype. So comfortable. I debated between cow print and plaid tweed but ended up going with the tweed.
🛒 In My Cart:
• ASOS plaid jacket + skirt set — matching, elevated, sporty, and so easy to style. Not tall-specific but worth keeping an eye on.

I feel like Banana Republic Factory is having a little redemption arc right now because the tall options are out of control in the best way. So many pants… actual tall inseams… and honestly? So many cute pieces for the holidays. 🫶

Had a chance to check out the Athleta Forever Fleece sets in person today and wanted to share a quick fit note for my tall girls. 👀
The Forever Fleece quarter zip is definitely tall-friendly even without going for the tall sizing. Great body length, great sleeve length. I’ve got a large in my cart because I want that slightly oversized look.
The Forever Fleece wide-leg pants run very oversized, at least in the waist. I had a medium in my cart originally, but the medium on the hanger honestly looked like an XL. I’m switching to a small because I still want them relaxed but not falling off.
